Wonderful comparison. I wonder if there is a lot of difference in engine power between the 155 and 125cc NMAX. Thanks for sharing this. :)

I test rode an Nmax 155 last year and was shocked at much room there is. I´m 186cm (6´1") and could easily stretch my legs out and move back freely. Very comfortable even for hour-long journeys. I weigh 110kg so I definitely would have wanted the extra power of the 155.

I went for the Xmax 300 instead though, mainly because of the power. It isn´t nearly as roomy as the Nmax unfortunately and you start to feel cramped after around 90 minutes in the saddle.

Yamaha should make an Nmax 300 and I would buy it in a heartbeat.

Hi, greetings, I'm from Indonesia. I just found this video and I just realized that your N MAX and PCX only have 125cc cubic. Both of which in my place Indonesia have 155cc cubication and 4 valves with the same model and appearance as in your place. Only distinguished by the choice of colors. FYI : Prices for both now in 2022 around £1,850 (non ABS), and £2,054 (ABS+Traction Control).

Hi. Im from the Philippines and I have a Yamaha Nmax 155. I don't think I've seen a 125cc version here. Just curious why that is. I bought mine for around 2300 GBP. I'm wondering is there really a difference? Did Yamaha just make a bigger engine with the same performance just to make it look good for the local market?

The only negative for the Pcx is the rear brake which is very frustrating, yet I still chose the Pcx and never had a problem! As far as design goes, it is way more slick and beautiful to me. Absolutely great performance and perfect for the city! I even crashed it and didn't get anything more than just a few scratches down where you put your feet 🤣 Definitely recommend!

The yamaha have always had somewhat comfier sit in that they are not as firm, and the deck where the leg is seems bigger than the yamaha. But after actually sitting on each at dealer's I personally find pcx to be comfier in terms of sit, precisely because they aren't flat, I find myself sliding of the seat on the yamaha easier but I gues for longer rides even touring the Yamaha might be more comfortable. As for that leg room, after actually sitting and trying on, it doesnt seem as roomy mainly because the body on the yamaha is wider so your leg is spread a little wider so the pcx actually felt more comfortable too.
I think the biggest advantage on Yamaha is simply that both front and rear are abs. The pcx I think looks better overall, the speedometer and all too, and I think that extra room in the underseat compartment is such a plus for so many practical purposes.

Why is the UK version 125cc and the US version 160cc? Yet the UK version has cooler features (hazard lights, keyless, etc) Honda company is weird.

I have driven the PCX, lovely bike, only thing bothered me was my hot ass, the seat became little to hot when driving(i drove it in Thailand), if i ever will buy one, i try to find a cooler seat, for the rest it was comfy, even when i drove around 100km, with my gf on the back...

Lol the headlights on the nmax look ridiculous 😂 They are good scooters though! The sitting position is more comfortable. Better brakes and take off speeds. Though smaller tank and uses slightly more fuel than the pcx

Piaggio Medley all the way.. bigger boot, more comfortable, bigger wheels, F/R abs, equal bhp, longer wheel base, better for motorways (bigger wheels), same price if not cheaper and liquid cooled. Your welcome 🌝

They are positioned higher and i think you'll be seen much better.

I have had two pcx's and yes you would think it should have a rear disk by now but I've been lucky and never had a problem stopping quickly. It does however have led lighting all round and the Yamaha still has bulb indicators, they are so low down that a guy I met owned a new one and said drivers are not always seeing them.
Yes am biased but watching them together on this vid, for me the styling of the Honda wins hands down.
I know we will never see it in the UK but the 160 would be perfect for me.

I got Yamaha. And OMG! I don't think I would have survived day 1 if it weren't for ABC brakes.
You'll be going at 40MPH and some lunatic will come out to your front and pretending like you don't even exist. I'm really tired of all these psychopaths and their trash and careless driving.
