Open Source back to Linksys Firmware WRT1900ACS

ok, so what to do if after running the first command, mine shows fw_printenv: not found?

I am not able to ftp my router . Any tips ? I am on DD-WRT..

Hi My friend i installed first chaos calmer.After Lede version openwrt installed.But I write fw_printenv boot_part i see just boot_part =2 How Can I choose Stock firmware boot part linkysys Bootpart 1 or 2 Which ??

Lin-ske love it, sounds like a Russian knock-off of a LinkSYS device :-)

Another method (tested on WRT1900ACS):

1. Hold the reset button for 10 seconds
2. Power the router off
3. Power the router on and wait for the Ethernet light(s) to illuminate
4. Immediately power the router off
5. repeat steps 3 & 4
6. repeat steps 3 & 4
7. power the router back on and wait for the power light to stabilize

That's put me back to LinkSYS f/w from LEDE and DD-WRT

Hi Eyerex, this tutorial is a good one ,short ,clear and useful. I have a question about this, when you go back to boot_part 2 and get the factory firmware started as showed in this video , what happened to the boot_part 1? I mean whether the part 1 is still LEDE or the part 1 is also changed to factory firmware.

This is all very well but what how you replace open source on both partitions to stock Linksys firmware?

I Have a Linksys 1900ac mamba 1 and I installed the correct LEDE Luci . But now I wanna install stock firmware and the nightmare of this firmware wont let me. i tried your video and still goes back to LEDE firmware. Any other way around it?

Thanks for the video great help. Now that I am on the standard firmware I have upgraded to a newer version of the standard firmware will that overwrite the OpenWRT that is/was on the other partition?

Just have one question though, can I ask how to remove the OpenWRT partition which currently resides in partition 2.

Easier way to revert - power off then back on, wait for the Ethernet/Internet light to flash, then power off - do this three times more, simples!

Perfect! I have a 3200 that simply didn't perform as well on openwrt. People were trying to TFTP or SCP the firmware image to /tmp then do a firmware upgrade via a console. Your solution was easy and worked perfectly. As an added bonus, I can switch back to OpenWrt just as easily. Thanks for your help, it was a big time saver.

I fucking love you! Did this on OpenWRT seeing as they merged a while back and it worked! OpenWRT gave me worse performance than stock and I couldn't flash back using Luci and it wanted me to flash back using the command line.

Actually this is an invalid solution as both partitions contains the open source firmware so there's nothing to swap over to. It's default when flashing OpenWrt from stock fw on a Linksys.

I did everything correctly but it didn't work. When i type "reboot" on PUTTY, and then i type the ip address of the router it still redirects me on the OpenWrt firmware.. Can someone please help me? I had openwrt on my 1900acs and that's fine I have now the stock firmware but if I understand , it means that I had the linksys firmware already on my router in same time with openwrt? Everytime we have 2 firmware? It reduces the ram or flash? It is possible to clear the second partition?
