This scene (even in the comics) hits different once you read Sandman Overture, knowing the fact that hope means even more when the existence is at the edge of cathastrophe, only if enough people dream with it.

This has always bothered me. "What kills hope"

Answer, alot of things. But the main thing that kills hope is failure. Failure leads to self doubt, self dout leads to, less confidence, less confidence leads to loss of hope.

So what kills hope, failure. "I am failure."

I would have loved for dream to say "I am Lucifer." And see what Lucifer would have said in return.

This is one of the best series I've seen in recent years and I absolutely love this game battle between Morpheus and Lucifer!!! Absolutely incredible 👏

I always come back to this “fight” when i'm bored of superpowers and all of that stuff. This is so brilliant.

Terrible change to make the opponent Lucifer this early. It will completely deflate the build up to the next encounter now that we know Dream is smarter than Lucifer (which he isn't in the comic version). There will now be people who only watch the Netflix show who think Dream, now at full-power, would actually stand a chance against The Morningstar and only be disappointed by the outcome (assuming Lucifer does exactly the same thing he did in the original story)
