It's always the same reason why I don't buy these wonderful games; Single player. Why would I want a giant open world that I can't share with someone? Feels like a weird version of Hell.
ОтветитьI completed the game and this is where I found out about master strikes. I just assumed i was bad at fighting so I basically stealthed and assassinated my way through the whole game.
ОтветитьFun fact:
If you get ambushed and you are on your horse, just make a 180 and gtfo. This works every single time
I FEEL QUITE HUNGRY
ОтветитьReally loved this review, your sense of humor is wonderfully entertaining.
ОтветитьI played over 200 hrs and didnt experience any graphical or physics bugs like what was shown here.
ОтветитьTop rewiew funny af.
Ответитьthe combat is infuriatingly good. amazing in 1v1 but total dogshit when theres more than one enemy
ОтветитьI'm so glad i picked this game up again. I don't remember the last time i played something demanding aside from competitive games, but unlike csgo or apex, kcd, for me, was fulfilling. Grinding sword skill wasnt just numbers going up, though i wish i did save those numbers (2 hours of hitting bernard with a wooden stick) before getting comboed into minced meat by some axe-wielding hobo.
ОтветитьI still think about this game a lot. I think KCD 2 is the only game Im really anticipating excitedly. This game was just a different experience from anything else Ive played and boy oh boy did I play it. If you havent played it.. you should.
ОтветитьI pushed through the first few hours until the horse riding bit came up. Tried it like 20 times and then decided that there's such a thing as too much immersion ;)
ОтветитьOMG this was so helpful! i am about to hate this game so much less now, thanks!
ОтветитьI didn't experience any of those bugs
ОтветитьMuch respect to everyone in warhorse except whoever did the lockpicking system
ОтветитьAfter like 5 corrupted saves at launch and giving up. I came back last year. This game is so fun to play now
Ответитьlove it
Ответитьthe complaints about the stealth mission is dumb tbh...like "Oh you need to have your stealth skill up to be able to accomplish the STEALTH Mission. It is like having a mission where you pick up a potato and it explodes on you." Level 5 in stealth is nothing that is beginner level stealth, so I find it funny that he found that infuriating.
ОтветитьThe combat ruined the game for me. With mods its good, but vanilla the master strike is too strong. I have no incentive to attack first if I can wait and get guaranteed damage.
Especially with how easy master strikes become if you just get a decent defence level.
For honor had the same issue with the parry system
I absolutely love the alchemy system. I remember spending literally hours working on potions every game day just so i could play with it even more. Theres just something so immersive about making potions and then selling them off, and then going out, getting more herbs.. and... then making.. more......
my god.. Im a bloody npc! D:
One of the best games ever! I never experienced any of these 'terrible' bugs and glitches not even in 2018. it was 10x less buggy than Skyrim for example, but they didn't have so much money for marketing and paid reviewers to worship them (and most people are just bandwagoners)
ОтветитьThe player can see his feet? Cool :)
ОтветитьLix yer vidyuh, Aates me Greg. Simpleaz.
ОтветитьWhat I love about Henry and his personality/dialogue options is that while in the beginnning, he is just a peasant and can't tell his head from his ass, let alone speak like nobility/a knight, by the end, most of his hesitation and inexperience from his speech is gone and he pulls off extremely well-written lines, showing his sharacter progression. Like telling people very firmly he came on behalf of this and this to do this and that (say, during a successful Chraisma check), or just to straight-up GTFO and let him in/give him the info, else he'll just cut their heads off (Intimidation check).
Hearing these lines from a character who has started from nothing and built himself up to be who he is by the end/lategame really does hammer the oint of character development home even more. It also makes more sense that, after countless battles and debates with nobility, henry would speak either more eloquently, or just look at the enemy as just another sack o' meat in his way (respectively of the 2 options), rather than being a sacaredy-cat or a brainless idiot not knowing what to say. I enjoyed my time very much with KCD, but damn is this game NOT for everyone.
One of the best games ever made.
ОтветитьThe BEST open world-nature design of all time, hands down.
There is no comparison.
The combat in this game is great, and it wouldn't be as great if it was less annoying.
At some point I had all the best gear, had loads of combat perks unlocked, and I had gotten very good at it. No more running away from a couple of cumans, every tournament was easy, I felt amazing.
Then a bunch of ill equipped bandits, or was it bakers, ambushed me and wiped the smug off my face. Duels against even a heavily armored very skilled opponent can be a lot easier than a bunch of unarmored peasants all piling on you at once. The combat system lets one on one fights be more complex than they are in most games, and it makes fighting groups way harder than it often is in games. That's an excellent bit of realism, and an excellent way of keeping the player from becoming completely immortal after doing too many side quests
Nice video. How do I make my subtitles in the look like yours, without the black part?
ОтветитьHow to become a roided up superchad in KC:D early on:
1) Learn master strike from the Bernard in Rattay.
2) Grind until you have strength level 10.
3) Loot the heavy war hammer and some decent armour from the Rattay Guard quarters.
4) Fight in the Rattay tourney and against bandits as many times as you can, focus all your skill points on exclusively bonking skills (including the one that lets you onshot enemies with a single headstrike).
5) Focus solely on master strikes and bonking people in the head, no other tactics needed.
6) Get the ceremonial mace from the Rattay tourney (or just buy it).
Congrats, now you've become a roided up OP superchad who's literally unbeatable in 1v1 combat and you're not even halfway through the game.
Also horse archery, nobody else in the game does it and you are free to exploit it to your heart's content.
Henry cosplaying as a door? 10/10 must play lol
ОтветитьI honestly never experienced any bugs in my 40 hour playthrough other than the characters faces being blurry for 5-10 seconds
ОтветитьReally wanted to like this game but it just feels like a chore to play. Gave it at least 8 hours
ОтветитьMaster strikes are taught to you by the trainer outside rattay. The one you were training with, you just had to come back a couple more times.
. It looks like you tried to run through the plot without taking time to do things like hunt in the forest every few days, sneak around restricted areas. Using your hunting spoils to buy some fancy clothes so all the town npcs call you lord and sir and some backup clothes so you don’t keep having to hit the bathhouse for laundry.
I’m really happy to hear you liked it. With the expansion you get to actually be mayor of that rundown town and rebuild it. It’s very cool. Good video 😊
this game only punishes those who try to run through it for a YT video or simply are impatient kids.
I had barely any troubles at all, but then again I take my time with RPGs and rarely encounter situations my character couldnt handle. Even without certain combat skills I rather enjoyed the fights, timing is king ... button smashing like a nintendo kid is savegame dependency.
The real big wow factor of the game however is its historical focus, the game adapted real places, people, culture and history like no other RPG ... and I loved that (not only because Bohemia isnt far from where I live).
The lack of not creating your character and playing as some rando made me shelve the game ASAP
ОтветитьI put about 40 hours into it until i kept being arrested during the day for not having a torch out. This bug ruined the game for me and i haven't played it since.
Ответитьonly complaint is that the video is too short
ОтветитьThere's no mistaking those chubby cheeks... you little tit!
I fucking lol'd
Am I the only one who's thinking this game really, really needs a point where someone "deliverances" the line: "You got a purdy mouth, boy!" 🤷♂️
ОтветитьI laughed so hard at Greg. Another very cunning NPC is the charcoal burner helper from Skalitz. He even faked his own death only to appear at every corner to stalk you. I had no idea he took the 0.3 coin I saved on charcoal by haggling with him so personally.
ОтветитьBeautiful, immersive game with intriguing story and interesting and well voiced characters but my god this game is a rage fest 😆 I rage quit this game so many times you wouldn’t believe! So much so it actually overtook all the positive things I liked about the game which was a huge shame
ОтветитьMy never ending list of games i have to fire up again is slowly becoming even more insurmountable.
I will have to live with the knowledge that unless i win the lottery, i will probably never experience all of them.
Any chance to get more comedy gold with Henry the brave? Il keep my fingers crossed 🤞
ОтветитьRewatching this brilliant review of one of my favourite games by my favourite game reviewer is utterly soothing 🥰 Thank you again my good sir🙏🐻
ОтветитьLook I like this I really enjoyed it so far I've got about 20 hours into it I think hype on the train back in 2018 I was too focused tunnel vision are rdr2 but I have to think this game is better than Skyrim it's just if I can get the combat down
ОтветитьOkay for anyone wondering the bugs are gone, at least in my GOG version i played a year ago, combat is still hard as hell, but you get the hang of it after a 1000 beatings and deaths, story is great, open world too, great game, must buy if you are a masoquist and on a sale.
ОтветитьThis is a great game but I sincerely hope in the sequel, they stop that thing where Henry will start spinning around in circles over and over and over until he's beaten to death.
Seems to happen like once every 10 fights or so, but when your character starts doing that, even if you're a max level dude in top of the line armour against some drunk thugs with sticks, you're still screwed...
