Dark Spuls 3 was my 1st souls game, i fell in love with it. Beat soul of cinder in 2 tries, beat all the bosses before soul of cinder in my 1st run. What i would do to exprienge it all again for the 1st time

Personally I wanted to start playing DS2 first, I've heard is the "worst" dark souls, so if i finished that one first, it would only get better from there

But i got gifted DS1 first lol

I'd play dark souls 3, elden ring, then go back to dark souls 1 and 2, then demon souls, then bloodborne, and the sekiro last

I just started with Sekiro and I am still stuck on beating that ogre

well i would say Bloodborne first becuase it isnt so hard and you get health back. Then DS1 to 3 after that sekiro and at last elden ring. Oh! Dont forget demon souls ^^

Just play them in order starting with demon souls because the dark souls series do connect and if you don’t play 1 you won’t understand something’s in 2 or 3

I would recommend DS1, only if you plan on playing the other ones too.
Recommending DS3, only if you dont know if that gameplay is something for you. I would also say DS3 gives you the overall best souls like experience. 👌🏼

ds2 is underrated

I remember when i buy ps4 i never play soul game but my friend suggest me to try it and then i try lies of p, yeah lies of p it's my first soul game, right now i just finish dark souls 3, all souls game is perfect for me 😅

I personally recommend playing bloodborne first to learn how to play these games. It teaches new players of the series to not to rely on your shield, essentially forces you to “get good” and dodge/parry.

I always find it harder to go back in a series if I start from the 3rd game. So I would point then towards ds1 so they can experience everything without the knowledge of how the next games improve upon it

I played 2 first, id recommend 1 first every time. Play them in release order, there are easter eggs that are each successive game thatll youll just never get if you play them out of that order

I always suggest starting Dark Souls 1. Because if you're gonna play it, playing after the more polished movement systems will really give you conniptions

Elden Ring must be one of the easier and hardest to new players. Most of them wont get it that they can backtrack.

Dark Souls II was my first so I’ll always have a soft spot. However. Otogi Myth of Demons and Otogi II Immortal Warriors are fire games for the original Xbox. You can emulate them on PC with Xemu or they may even be backwards compatible on the consoles. Idk but if you don’t mind old graphics it’s still a gorgeous looking game even today and it’s the origins of FromSoftware. Cheers everybody

Dark Souls 3, Dark Souls 1, Bloodborne, Sekiro, Elden Ring. In that order, sekiro is optional since its wildly different. By the time you get to Elden Ring, you'll appreciate maks and jumping.

Starting with the easiest gam, i would say demon souls if possible, if not, then dark souls 1 is the best place to start

DS3 bosses are a good challenge for new people to the series, after elden ring they can feel too much like a cakewalk, which is a really negative thing in my opinion, because bosses are almost the only thing it has going for it (besides siegward ❤) heavy attacks might as well do nothing, level building is mid (this does NOT mean bad, get your english language right) graphics are very boring and the amount of references is overwhelming, which even after the other games feels like a negative thing, because having most of the cool things in the game be just from other games does not feel lively or personal, so I am not sure whether that would make DS3 the best starting point, because you are yet to discover that they just decided to copy most of the things from earlier titles.
And in case of bloodborne, I beat it 5 times by now, it is something nice to get back to from time to time, the style is pretty fun at times, bossfights are something between fun and eh, the things that really take away from the experience are the following: resting takes you to hunter's dream, instead of just resetting the area and heals + hp (why?), but also this is one of the lesser problems.
Next is, parrying needing a currency, due to you parrying with bullets (a minor problem)
Finally, blood vials, oh god the blood vials, better hope you have playstation plus, because the heal system in this game is ABYSMAL, imagine lifegems or moon grass, WITH INFLATION. Yeah it is SO bad, you die as a newbie? Well F you, no more heals, get to farming yippie kay yee!!!
(It is not the only reason why it isn't top 1 in my opinion, but it is also something people definetly forget, before rating the games)

I personally don't consider sekiro as one of the souls because of how many stark contrasts it has to the rest of the games and if we see bloodborne bosses in night reign but not sekiro bosses I'll take that as a sign that fromsoft agrees with me.

i just started bloodborne, i beat the first boss on my first try and the 3rd on my 2nd try, its my first souls game.

Always start with Sekiro it’s the easiest game and has a lot of weapon options to choose from
