Looks like a lot of y'all use Cakewalk. What other free DAWs do you use?
ОтветитьTitle says 2023, video is 2 years old. Are you trying to f*ck me?
ОтветитьArdour is 100% free if you compile it yourself. Many linux distros have it pre-compiled in their repos as well. Ardour is pay-what-you-can donationware, but isn't hobbled in any way unless you download that one binary from their site. That being said - please do donate what you can. They are also very helpful in the forums.
ОтветитьYou missed out - You and Johnny need to try Acoustica Mixcraft
Ответитьty!
Ответитьi previously used audacity to clean up some audio for an advanced phonetics project 😭 didnt even realize it was a daw 😭😭😭
ОтветитьDo you search these daws on Google?
Ответитьtracktion is garbage ngl
ОтветитьHeh heh heh - yeah and AYE to Cakewalk by Bandlab....but i will only sequence using TTS instruments first BEFORE any intention to replace that TTS track with some awesome FREEBIE Kontakt instruments, especially the Alpine Project Orchestra, for instance
ОтветитьSome of them either aren't really free as claimed, or in most cases, don't even work!!!!
I've been trying to find a decent one for a while now after my 4 track stopped sounding decent & tried audacity. Audacity sounds ok. I'm actually fine with how it sounds. BUT. If you multitrack, which you do if you actually play your instruments, aligning tracks - or having them in time, in sync, whatever - is near impossible!!!! It's ridiculous.
thank you bro op
Ответитьmuchas gracias, it is working
Ответитьwow finally something that actually works tysm u earned a subscriber
Ответитьthanks a lot BRO you saved my life
ОтветитьThanks a lot! It works great, I downloaded and installed it but why it's missing the Overlay option in Tools - Video Editing? Is there any additional patch?
Ответитьthanks
ОтветитьThank You I Really Need This
ОтветитьWow working! Thanks a lot bro
Ответитьhe says "pay the measly $60 for reaper" ignoring that most people watching this video don't have that money 💀
Ответить"I hate you" has to be one of the best endings to a video like this I've seen, really wasn't expecting that lmao
ОтветитьI use Samplitude Music Studio, whilst not free it can normally be bought for less than £50.00. It does everything I need so even though I get offered an upgrade to their pro version at a good price every now and then, I stick with this. It has quite a lot of instruments but I tend to use only the drums with midi as the rest of my recording is guitars and voice so I can't comment on them. I have tried all the others in your video but found they all had some annoying features, some very annoying.
Ответитьthere is a lot of good free vst instruments, only is necesary the vst support.
reaper is not free, and I think is the best of all the DAWs, even paid daws.
trial versions don't count because of the limitations, I think cakewalk is the best free DAW.
Other DAWs like ableton, fl studio, bit wig are funny, and good for some kind of music, but have limitations.
to make music of any genre I think Reaper or Studio One are the best, I don't know pro tools and logic.
I one-timed into Ardour and was/am really impressed. At the same, I one-timed into SoundBridge as well. SoundBridge won out in the end as I was able to create better complex sequences through usability. The 2 major drawbacks that I have not been able to get around: The screen space given to each track, without having to group, needs to go on a diet. The more tracks I can see on one screen, the less guesswork I have to do. Secondly, the official forum has 1 category which is a big limitation when it comes to building a community. I feel like an island at times. That said, when I have posted questions to the forum, the creators of SoundBridge replied within a day, if not on the same day.
Between 2022 & 2023, SoundBridge has solidified their #1 position in my toolbox with new and improved features. Features I didn’t know I needed until they were available.
My DAW time begins at around 9:45pm during the week and doesn’t end until 1:00am to 4:00am. Sometimes I have to put a hard limit on myself because my next day starts at 6:00am.
I'm confused.... You say to look no further than Cakewalk (for Windows users) but then you say Reaper is the Holy Grail. Please explain.
ОтветитьI like LMMS, but in my experience VeSTige is super buggy and some VSTs flat out break.
Ответитьfake 2023 video from 2021. but still good info kept short. the features may be different now
ОтветитьBro predicted 2023
ОтветитьArdour is like me online dating- silent after 10 minutes...
ОтветитьThere is a section in your video where you said they were "pro" daws. I don't actually agree with this category as almost every daw has been used in a pro capacity. And to be honest, if you are talking about commercial credibility, a daw you haven't named and nearly no one does has tons of artists from Taylor Swift, Great White to Kenny Loggins recorded on it. I am actually glad it is not in this list as I remain one of the few that use it. Since this is a paid daw, then it shouldn't be here anyways as much as Reaper shouldn't be here.
Ответитьdont use a freebie. i use studio one.. macs are evil. so is windows 11.
ОтветитьI remember paying for SONAR like ten years ago...
ОтветитьList:
Cakewalk(Unlimited tracks,Third party plugins/Windows only)
Garageband(Easy to use,Third party support,High quality sounds and instuments/Mac only,No mixer or auxiliary channel support)
LMMS(FL studio workflow,Third party plugin support/Recording audio not supported[you can do it with audacity])
Tracktion Waveform Free(Unlimited tracks, third party plugn support/No track editor,No arranger track,No quick actions)
Ardour(Unlimited tracks,third party plugin support/silent after 10 minutes)
Soundbridge(unlimited tracks, third party plugin support,GUI scaling and tablet support/Random pop up asking for donations)
cakewalk vs lmms what is better
ОтветитьImportant point to remember, all these DAW's will capture and play back the exact same extremely high quality audio - what you do with that audio as it records or plays back (e.g. EQ/Compression/Reverb etc etc) is, of course, up to you.
Myself? I'm a long term DAW user, mainly Cakewalk, and in fact, the last DAW I purchased was Cakewalk's then flagship product - Sonar Platinum (a Cubase/Protools etc competitor) for....£600(!!) some years ago. Bandlab now owns Cakewalk and, stunningly, give away the full version of Sonar Platinum...for FREE. Even more remarkable is that the same programmers from the original Cakewalk are providing regular updates, improvements and new features for Cakewalk. Your own VST's? - no probs to add them. Unlimited tracks? yup. Yes, it's Windows only, unfortunately, but if you use Windows it's a no-brainer. No other free DAW comes close to it, and, remarkably, it still competes with every retail DAW (Cubase, Protools etc).
U can record Audio in reaper right??
ОтветитьReaper is like trying to fly a spaceship -Very, VERY, very, very difficult to use. Not user friendly or beginner friendly or intuitive, but it is stable, and the undo function works on EVERYTHING in that DAW (unlike Waveform, which is basically unusable for mixing in it's current incarnation...) -Very linear undoing, which to me is ESSENTIAL.
ОтветитьI use Ardour full time. I also love the very affordable payment options, I love it.
ОтветитьI am an LMMS producer and I find that it works really well.
ОтветитьCelery's pretty good in a sauce. I haven't had celery in awhile so might get some for a tomato-meat pasta sauce.
ОтветитьIt might help to distinguish free as in no-cost versus free as in open-code and to share ('libre'). Ardour falls under all categories, is a professional-level DAW and runs on most platforms. If you want their build, it's minimum ~$1 USD donation, if you want to build it yourself from the code, it's free.
AFAIU, there's no real alternative to Ardour that is at once, recording-professional-quality/level, free, libre, community-driven, open-code and runs on most common platforms like Linux, Mac and PC.
It's like the Blender3D of DAWs.
CONCLUSION PLS
ОтветитьDoes anyone know of a free DAW that accepts evolution MK-461C? Thanks
ОтветитьWhich one of these is the closest to Audacity? -I do all my pre-production in Audacity because it's SOOO easy to use, but one SERIOUS drawback of that DAW is that you CAN'T RECORD MORE THAN TWO CHANNELS SIMULTANEOUSLY!!!! I'm using Reaper for tacking right now, but that DAW is a nightmare, if you ask me -The most counterintuitive thing I could ever imagine someone creating... EVER...
ОтветитьWhy are you holding veggies in your thumbnail
ОтветитьWhy are you holding veggies in your thumbnail
ОтветитьReaper=+++++++++++ , i tried version 5 , then i paid version 5 , and i was not able to resist to V6 so i paid and i am a happy Linux version user.i AM USING ALL FREE STUFF ,synth , soundfonts , orchestral...
ОтветитьInteresting, because the gui is my favorite part in waveform
ОтветитьReaper is the best and a beast
ОтветитьI've never used anything ever, but I want to learn to make music. I feel like I will never know where or how to start
Ответитьi cant get LMMS to load soundfont
Ответить
