Yes, it was a funny incident but webcam shouldn't have a filter cutesy default. Rather than give a history of webcam/video clarity, Dell's CTO should have explained how this happened; was a cat filter purposefully (and stupidly) set as the default or was it an engineer's prank (more likely)? The story highlights the negative impact it had, especially on those using the camera professionally, but the failed to show how and/or why it happened in the first place.
