It becomes obvious why the Amazon forest and other forest are fast becoming non existent when one realises some of the reasons they are being destroyed.For instance what grows in the forest particularly in the Amazon that keeps its people surviving and living long lives? The world being what it is, focused on money making is the main reason behind its demise as with everything that can be destroyed for money profit.

Yea. Wait till one day people on earth starts dying off from lack of oxygen and can't breathe. All that forest is the oxygen giving plants and trees. Other areas are being urbanized so obviously there is no air production there other than giving out more co2.

A lot of the deforestation is because of local people starting farms to feed themselves, if the people need to do that to survive I don't see an issue with it. That being said there is also a substantial amount of deforestation caused by external industries, this can and probably should be highly regulated.
