I can’t even describe how stupid this is. How did they build so many star destroyers and recruit/man them without anyone knowing?

EVERY destroyer can blow up a planet? Why? Seriously what does that do for anyone?

How in the hell did all of those ships jump there if getting there is supposedly “impossible”

It’s just hollow fan service. Hell, it’s not even fan service. We already saw lando, and wedge was on screen for 5 seconds. So why do I care about any other ship?

Sequel trilogy never happened.

I'm not a nerd, but when Lando and the others showed up, it had me cheering more than I did in Avengers: Endgame when every single Avenger showed up, and that was a lot.

This scene is terrible, aside from its blatant copy of Endgame, it just doesn't work at all. Yeah there's thousands of ships, but how many of these are recognizable? Like compare this to Rogue One's Battle of Scarif, you get goosebumps because ships AND characters you do know are there, and the music emphasizes that. Here the main Star Wars theme plays and it does not evoke any emotion, it's so bland, does not feel like a heroic entrance at all.

This is a great scene, but I really think they should have done an "Endgame" on it, and had a longer reveal
Just as he's about to give in to despair, Poe hears his radio crackle and hears
"Red squadron Standing by"
"Blue Squadron, reporting in"
"Gold Squadron, Armed and ready"
"ROGUE Squadron present, Corran Horn commanding"
" This is Tycho Celcu, WRAITH Squadron standing by"
"This is Bravo Leader of the Naboo Fighter Corps"
and so on (with a shout out to every expanded universe character you can fit in, Galen Marek, Kyle Katarn, Cal Kestis, Dash Rendar), then GENERAL Wedge Antilles give the best line tehre is in Star Wars
"Lock S foils in attack position" - and you have literally a thousand fighters of every type, from X wings down to old ARC 170s fold out their wings and charge into battle."

actually I do have an issue with they way they made the star destroyers even more weaker....this is lazy writing and the opposite of what I read in the books.
the empire learns from their mistakes and builds better unstoppable nearly ISD's.

this idea with a cannon underneath it was stupid.

I don't see those new and improved ISD III's or Pellaeon Ships which are better.
those ISD's look like old Mk I's with the cannon underneath making it easy to destroy and give the rebels a victory which is stupid....
next fucking movie or show they make with an Empire Comeback better be with better and improved ISD's that do not blow up to easy rebel victories...
and new all around military, upgrades and better.
troops, ships, weapons, armor, etc...even the troopers shooting better be deadly accurate.

I expect to see the Empire Adapt and Improve and Comeback better.
this time without any Sith involvement, just being led by regular people and have a more stabilized Imperial Theocracy as Government.

I expect after all these failures in the films and shows.

to See the Empire reformed under new management and led by Admiral Natasi Daala and Admiral Gilad Pellaeon where they make lots of changes and make it better.

How can the writers of this incredibly dumb movie still be employed? The scene in itself could have been cool if it didnt came out of nowhere. It's like the writers wrote temselves into a corner and just said "and then a miracle occurs." It makes absolutely no sense. It could have been a giant yoda head shooting laser beams for all i care, nothing in the story can give us an explanation for this nonsense.

Let me get this right: the galaxy was sleeping through the first two movies, noone gave a fuck about anything and they would let the first order do whatever it likes. But in the third, a random guy made a call (he made a call to the galaxy? How?) and everyone jumped into their armed ships with no question asked and followed him instantly.

This is peak disney stupidity, it looks like something out of the mind of a five years old.

Such woke nonsense.
Crude mouthed man emasculating girl boss takes a Star Destroyer out by herself. Naturally.
She dont need to man, and doesn't need to be helped or rescued. Her sex organs give her auto-victory like Rey.
EVERY. SINGLE. IMPERIAL, is a DEI checkbox , different sex and different colored person.
It's so amazing how dead art is. When you have to checkbox every single character and
their actions... it's not art. Art comes from inside, and is unique to the artist. This is the same
propaganda in EVERY show and movie these days. Such a waste.
And of course get the Rebels Cartoon Ship into every space battle they can, in everything SW. lol. Filoni is such a hack.

The last 3 of the saga were good. Rogue was an awesome tie-in. The fact I am no longer a kid like I was when the first 3 came out I factor in. The expectations were high because we all wanted that "feeling" again. This scene is an example of the moralistic theme I loved in the films. That powerful evil is defeated by the most simple people not hellbent on having power for themselves.
The "moralistic compass" term I used to describe Jackson's Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit are exactly what people cheer for. The original theme of star wars has the same compass. Which is why the Rings of Power and Asoka and the Mandalorian are bland and borderline jokes of a movie/series.

I didn't like the sequel movies for a large number of reasons, but this scene is one of the few things that I ABSOLUTELY love! When at first things seemed bleak and watching Poe watch his friends die around him, then finally seeing the massive fleet of civilians and old Rebels coming together to take down the Empire and destroy it once and for all was absolutely incredible!

This scene showcases how rebellions really work. I dont like personally major things about the trilogy, but this? Its peak star wars. Always starts with a small force/number of people that can not give up no matter the odds. And even when they face the overwhelming power of a regime, in the end. The real power is in peoples hands. Its just people. But no ordinary person is gonna show up out of nowhere unless it does end up being all or nothing on the line. PEAK STAR WARS. Perfection.
