ОтветитьYou look like if ben from barnyard was human
ОтветитьThe best
ОтветитьThe ChromeOS terminal is for a Debian Bullseye VM. Your guide is to run a VM from inside a VM? Sorry but that's not good practice at all.
ОтветитьI kept seeing dpkg was interrupted " you must run sudo dpkg configure a to correct the problem
ОтветитьDoes not work
ОтветитьThank you!

ОтветитьGabe, Great info... I just purchased an Acer Spin 713 (2020, waiting to receive) and looking forward to continuing with chromeOS, I purchased my first chromebook in 2014 an HP Chromebook 14 G1 "falco" and was very disappointed with the "EOL" cycle. So I coverted that chromebook to Linux via the "MrChromebox/Legacy/Coreboot" routine. My "chromebook lives on" I will delve into your "terminal series" when I get my "Spin" Thank's Guys... Phillip
ОтветитьActually, I really want to see you use that Linux on your Chromebook. Unfortunately, you didn't show it on this video at all.
ОтветитьHello...have you o installed Intel on an intel-based Chromebook using this method by chance? I am using an HP CHromebook x360 i3 machine with 128GB SSD.
ОтветитьCan you go thru the process of installinf Fedora 34 or at least caould you share the fedora iso thank you
Ответитьloaded linux mint ok but runs too slow to be useful on pixelbook go
ОтветитьE: Package 'qemu-kvm' has no installation candidate
ОтветитьIs it possible to install XFCE and Twister OS on top of that ??
That would be a great opportunity !!!
am a bit late but an error pops up saying "qemu-kvm has now installation candidate"
ОтветитьThis was a Very Good video. Very Technical and not understanding a lot of this little stuff. Basically What IS MX Linux. Do I NEED to use this? It seems a lot overkill for my uses. Thanks Harold.
Ответитьok kinda good
Ответитьwhat if my chromebook does not have that Linux (beta) "thing" under apps in settings? I'm trying to install RStudio on my chromebook. Is it possible? (please say yes...)
ОтветитьWho else IS HAPPY
ОтветитьThanks it works for me.
ОтветитьIt seams I cannot move the ISO over to my linux folder, is that okay? will i still be able to run this?
Ответитьwrite please use a kernel appropriate for your cpu
ОтветитьTried this twice and it works great upon initial installation, but when I shut it down and try to restart MX Linux, it says, "Booting from Hard Disk....Boot failed: not a bootable disk." The vm is listed under "QEMU/KVM User session". What am I missing? Thanks!
Ответитьthis is probably night the right route for most people that dont have 8GB/16GB chromebooks.
ОтветитьThis no longer works at all - the VMM procedure is completely different now and not been able to get it work at all - this procedure needs updating. Not to mention the qemu-kvm obsolete error messages...
Ответитьit dosent allow to be installedd in a sd card :(
ОтветитьFor anyone having an issue jsut use this instead of his code. sudo apt install cpu-checker libvirt-clients libvirt-daemon-system bridge-utils virtinst libvirt-daemon virt-manager -y
Ответитьso i have dumb question, when i try to install the VM manager it says it is opsolete and to use cpu-checker.....installed cpu-checker but still getting error E: Package 'qemu-kvm' has no installation candidate
Ответитьtried cutting and pasting the command line for VM and thats where you lost me. I'm using Lenovo's Duet and maybe my woes are due to the aarch64 CPU. Instead getting message "pakage kemu-kvm is not available but is reffered to by another package"
ОтветитьI'm trying to big brain around the firewall on my school chromebook. It's out of date though
ОтветитьCould I setup a Windows virtual machine and use smart card reader on it?
Ответитьthank you so much for this video
I hope you can also make a video on how to install Genymotion on pixelbook go. Cheers!
Wait that’s illegal
ОтветитьI have tried this virtualization on my chromebook samsung plus v2(4GB ram/32GB e.MMC/intel celeron) and:
1- Super slow to initialize;
2-Slow to use and it crashes after a few minutes.
From the corresponding article:
"DistroWatch is the go-to website to see the popularity of most of the major Linux distros."
No, guys. No it isn't.
Why would you do this instead of using the sandbox Linux included? Isn't the whole point of Chomebook Linux that it's safer?
ОтветитьThanks, Gabe! That was a great video. I really appreciate it.
ОтветитьMy Chromebook has only 16gb hard drive.
ОтветитьMX Linux isn't the most popular distro. DistroWatch isn't reliable for its data. Ubuntu is probably the most popular, and Linux Mint should be up there too.
