How do I remove Bing from the search bar when opening new tabs in Microsoft edge?

I followed all steps, however, the bing option not removed after clicking on Reload policies

you can also get rid of the Edge side bar & BING chat by going into: Edge App - (right) three dots - Settings - (left column under Appearance) click Sidebar - (right column under Customize sidebar) toggle off "Always show sidebar", scroll down to remove BING chat go under "App specific settings" - click Bing chat icon - toggle off "Show Bing Chat". Hope this helps.

I found an easier way to disable Bing Chat but it is still on my computer. Hover over the Bing icon in top right corner to bring up Chat Toolbar. Click on vertical three dots (when you hover it says "more options"). Choose "Notification and App settings." In App and Notification Settings you will find "Show Bing Chat" with an option to disable. Disable and Bing Chat disappears.

the drop down box to change search engine has a 🚫 icon when I attempt to select the drop down. Unable to change the value. Perhaps S mode doesn't allow to change.
