Im a fans of Jackson RR, own 1. Their sound arent that good to be honest. Lacking of low end, more into mid. But i love how i look while playing them.

Ive bought a Jackson and Solar. Solar E-Type and Jackson Randy Rhoads V. I still have the Solar. I traded the Jackson. The Jackson was a great guitar, but I rarely played it over the Solar.

I've been a Jackson man for most of my years, but I can't help feeling like there's got to be better out there. Jackson doesn't build it's best quality anymore either. I'm also in love with the warrior body and wish that Jackson would show it more love.

comparison is wrong since he compared the solar v with a cheap bolt-on RR, he had to compare it with a pro RR3 or RRT

My RR3 had the same problem with the tremolo bar, I tried my Epiphone Richie Faulkner tremolo in the Jackson licensed bridge and it fitted perfectly, it wasn't loose at all, so you can easily fix it by changing the type of tremolo bar!

In the more modern Rhoads V's, the input jack is placed on the longer wing as opposed to the uncomfortable spot on the one you have!

i HAVE a ps37 performer and the trem bridge isnt that shitty, maybe your whammy jack is loose, i also hate the jack placement but i hold it an unconventional way when i sit and its not a problem

Wow Jackson must've been going through a struggle when they released that one. I remember when I got a budget model years ago and it sounded like ass. I just got one today and it's still budget but it sounds good and the input jack is in the right spot. That Solar looks and sounds amazing though!

I recently saw a hack for this type of floyd rose. You shove a pen spring into the hole and then screw in the bar on top of it. Makes it stay where you put it.

Yeah, but this comparison is not so fair. The Jackson there is no modern, etc, etc, etc. Compare both in the same level of parts and kind of the same price nowadays.

Once the Floyd gets setup. You will not want anything else. At least that’s how I felt. Dive bombs, dime squeals.

Put a spring in the bar socket. They sell them at stew mac. Solars are beasts.

I’m a Jackson fan for sure but I play soloist that are neck thru and real floyds but I did want a v but yeah I would rather have a solar in this situation

I think the reason Solar are ready to rock outta the box is due to Ola Englund’s specs on all the models! If he doesn’t like how they sound they won’t be made!!

I hate when the whammy bars freaking rattle!! A lot of times they give you the wrong one!! They really aren’t one size fits all!! Screw on bars are so much better than the pop in ones! The cylinder can break rather easily! Mine actually did!! Thread tape helps tighten the bar up! Just wrap some around the tip that goes in the tremolo and it won’t rattle!!
