I've tried Z3, Z4 and Z5. None of them stayed in my hands more than 3 months...
I definitely prefer the Google Pixel fold form factor (like MS Duo or OPPO N2) !

Yeap, the pixel fold is better, but we got to remember, google just entered the phone market. Apple and Samsung has been doing this for awhile, but in a short amount of time, google is already catching up fast.

Saying that the Pixel is better for watching vidoe because you don't have to rotate it is the most asinine thing I've heard in a tech video

I've used both Samsung and Pixel devices (not foldable). From my experience, Pixel screen is delicate compared to Samsung. Both me and my husband own Pixel 6 pro and both of us dropped our phones accidentally on different occasions and easily broke the phone screens exactly at the same spot(strange). Whereas Samsung phone when dropped multiple times, didn't leave a single scratch. I love Pixel camera but I'm a clumsy user. So I would go with Samsung.

Pixel fold inside screen is crazy ugly for me. Old fashion big bezel.

One major point overlooked here is that the Pixel fold doesn't open up flat to 180 degrees. Huge design flaw. That alone makes the z fold the clear leader. If google flattens it out and reduces the inner bezel, they'll take the lead.

I came from the z fold 2, it's a big upgrade from (of course) last year, because obviously not a lot of new tech has come out in a year.....but the pixel is inferior, and why don't we knock Google for not even adding a use of a "Google stylus" , samsung the only one doing it and we still crap on them. SMH reviewers don't give samsung enough credit. No knock to your video but you sound like everyone else crapping on samsung 🤔. I know I'm not the only one. Samsung is on its 5th iteration of folding devices. And the fact that Google apps work better on samsung devices 😂. This review was the straw 😑 😒, you really sleeping on Samung SMH

I need a phone first that can be a tablet when I need it (pixel fold) and not a tablet first that can be a phone (z fold 5) other wise I'd just buy an LTE tablet

Pixel fold for outer display alone

Bigger bezels, yet somehow far, FAR less durable, runs so hot it will burn a hole in your pocket, AND DOESN'T EVEN FOLD OUT FLAT.

This is such a misleading review for those trying to choose their first foldable. The only improvement Samsung really needs to implement is a wider outer screen. Apart from that, it is hands down the worlds best foldable. The pixel fold is not compassion! Do not listen to this guy he is a liar!

Definitely see a lot of Samsung fans in here. I personally like the Google pixel fold better having a screen on the outside that’s actually usable is important. And the Google pixel fold just looks better. I think when the next version comes out, it will have smaller bezel and probably be thinner.

Both phones are overpriced and not worth the money.

Pixel bezel and build quality sucks.

I prefer the narrow display on the z fold, I barely use the outside display for most things other than calls and quick texts. Bc of its narrow design it makes it easy to type with one hand.

One thing I got tired of with the Samsung fold devices. I feel it's become a little mainstream and it's fans have become protective.

The Z Fold series suited my needs while I had it but the pixel fold does it better.

When comparing the Pixel to the Z Fold, it becomes evident that the screen ratio is the only distinguishable factor.
Samsung is far more mature in the art of high-quality, vivid screens, long-lasting battery life, optimal productivity features, slimmer bezels, and user-friendly software and has a better processor.
On the other hand, the Z Fold is specifically designed to maximize the benefits of its folding feature, which is clearly visible in its optimized performance.
Pixel is designed for users who prefer a larger phone, while the Z Fold offers much more than that. Sorry, the review is inaccurate.

He also failed to mention there an option on the galaxy fold to hide the task bar and recall it with gestures

Are you kidding me, Samsung's color depth is so much better than the Pixel Fold's.

I Own both phones and Google wins games down in everything. The food has better colors but it failed in upgrades. Google knew that we wanted more out of our folds. I play games and watch videos and do everything with no complaints. I like enough to understand any short comings are all on developers and upgrades so be coming soon. Samsung is becoming Apple BORING. If Samsung can get on the same page as Google we can talk about Samsung again

When i used Samsungs one UI software, I was so confused. There’s too many options such to the point that it becomes counterintuitive because you can’t figure out how to implement the ones you want. I want to try out pixel fold and see if their software is better suited for me.

Why aren't you comparing the original Galaxy Fold to the Pixel Fold . Seeing how the Pixel Fold is in its first year and the Galaxy Z Fold 5 is in its fifth year. Of course commenters are going for the Z Fold 5. The Fold 5 has 5 years of improving the design and apps. Just go look at the review that MKBHD did on the Galaxy Fold 1 and you will see all the gripes people are saying about the Pixel Fold is exactly what Marques comments about the Galaxy Fold 1. Which by the way was $2000 at launch.

google looks cheap with those bezels and camera bump. and it failed bendtest. the only thing i like about the pixel is the wider front screen. but its too short. samsung needs to keep the height but make it a bit wider.

Not every year everyone buys Mobiles not every year there is battery upgrade and so I say every 4th year you update then there be changes well hopefully to make another upgrade well thanks and I say this all will change is usually colours faster and maybe to better the design of the phone so will operate well and improve the quality look of it. Internally looks so so much better than last year model every couple years there b 💫e (the magic word improvement ) < 👌

Google needs to add a stylus and a good notes app. I ended up returning the fold 5. That aspect ratio wastes too much screen with black bars.

The fold is the perfect phone minus the orientation. If they make it a passport shape I’d buy it immediately. I hate the tall skinny shape though.

It's a good idea. But they ruin it by charging you twice as much.

The bezels on the Pixel fold are noticeably larger then the Z Fold 5 when you open the phone. People complain about the narrow front screen on the Z Fold 5. But for me as a first time Z Fold user it doesn't bother me at all.

yah my fold 4 does more then pixel pixel has only 1 thing a wider front screen that i would love but i would have to give up way more stuff to choose pixel fold offers more 4 the same price

Samsung has the BEST software on ANY fold but the outer display for the Pixel just isn't enough. Great FIRST ATTEMPT. Glad there's competition but that's all that impresses me. I love to ONE HAND the front screen on the Z fold.
