Goddess Worship of Shakti / Kali - Shaktism

Hello! This is a question for The Shakta Oracle but if anyone has answers I'm open to any and all suggestions/help!

I am currently trying to learn more about Hinduism (specifically Shaktism) to see if it is the right spiritual practice for me. I am currently reading The Bhagavad Gita but was wondering if you had any books, videos, or informational content that you would recommend for someone who is very new to learning about Shaktism.

Content about Hinduism overall is super welcome, but I am specifically interested in Shaktism - Shakti -and working with the Divine Feminine Energy.

Amazing video...I love learning about Shakti worship. As a women i feel so out of touch with my feminine energy yet Kali reminds me of my power. She came to me in a dream and she was not scary but she knew and totally owned her power...she was really sensual tbh!

Great video👍🏻Central concepts of Shaktism are found in Ancient Greek and Roman civilizations as well. Everyone has kundalini energy. That means everyone has a connection to Shakti. Lilith is basically Kali, for example.

Lol Misappropriating Kali? Kali is the Mother of the Universe. She does not belong to tribe. My ancestors were European and I’ve been practicing Hinduism for 30 years. Are you familiar with Vedanta? Have you read The gospel of Ramakrishna? We are not body We are not mind. You do not own Kali

You’re not white You’re not black. You’re not male or female. Tat Twam Asi. You are pure consciousness.

But maybe that’s “your realization”. It’s not transcendental knowledge. Because you aren’t obviously transcending the duality. We are one.

I'm multiracial, and made of tough stock. My ancestors managed to survive despite the brutality of colonialism. It makes me smile thinking just how tough my mothers and grandmothers were in the face of disease and genocide. Kali is not part of my biological heritage but she might be a part of my spiritual one. When I worship her, the last place I go to is to another Westerner. In general, I go to Hindus to seek knowledge. Usually, I have to make sense of the subtitles but it makes a difference to be closer to the source than to rely on some hack telling me a Shiva Linga is a phallic symbol. Trust Westerner's to see D---ks everywhere (smh). And even then there is this lens of Abrahamic religious culture that permeates and distorts the absolute truth. If anything It's a study on how to be an awful intolerant person while disguising oneself as a righteous one. This is the reason I lost faith for some time. Buddhism brought me back into spirituality but Kali engulfed me in it. I'm amazed at how much tolerance is preached in Vedic scriptures. This love and spirit of service is what I love most about your culture and so here you find me in your comment section. And also so I can get the right pronunciation for words because it matters, especially in mantra.

When it comes to ethnicies, I feel like dieties may call out to people from who they were in past lives. Even if they are white. I am african american, from what I know. My mother and her side is black, dark skinned, but I am very light. My father was a light man with long hair so I know dont his ethnicies since he passed away and no one will tell me about hin. But I received a calling with Kali. I was meditating when it happened. It was amazing... but before that. As a teen my interest was in The Morrigahn, never got a calling just her archetype interested me. Last on in life I got a strong pull toward Bastet and Sekhmet. Kali is the only one to really be PRESENT. I have looked back an noticed how similar these goddesses are from different places. I don't think we have a choice sometimes and that's okay. I say this in a sweet way, but you sound like someone who really loves their mother and a little possessive. My youngest daughter does not always like to share my attention with others, or gets a little bothered if she sees me cuddling on her younger sister. <3 its sweet.

How does one awaken their 3rd eye?

I am a seeker and want to dive into shaktism. How do you go about starting? Also, how do I learn more about hinduism. I want to do it the right way but am finding it very difficult to find where to begin. Love your videos and am so glad I found your channel. Thank you sweet sister.

Personally I am a devotee of Hekate. I love the way you explained goddess worship. I really love to study Shaktism, it maked me understand my experience with the Goddess more. I have really similar experience with Hekate like you have with Kali and I do think that we worship the same Divine Being. Goddess bless

Is it possible for a goddess to appear as a vision during meditation without intention to see them? "Shakti" appeared to me with allusions to the embodiment of Parvati - someone who barely knows anything about Indo Carribean Hinduism/Shaktism - and now I'm here. I only discovered it was Her after doing some googling with the trail She left me.

I recently found my way back to Hinduism, that’s the life I grew up in but felt the need to wander but at this point my life, I’m feeling very drawn to Shakti.
