When you have more than flash (like above) do you set all in same channel and group or like one flash will be A 1/32 and other will be B 1/16

In my case, i use the X1R to trigger my nissin Di866 ii flash, it works, but i can not change the power output on the trigger, i need to lay my hand on the flash (kinda frushtrating). In TTL mode, i can perform HSS but in manual mode in only go to 1/250.

Hey! I use x1r with a generic nikon flash 3rd party flash. HSS is working, exposure is fine too. But the flash fires twice! Once with full power and the second time as powered by the trigger. How can I turn that off?

Initially, when I mixed Godox and Yongnuo flashes, I typically set the Youngnuos to S1 for triggering, and then controlled their settings with the Youngnuo trigger not on camera, but in my pocket. When I used a friends YN685 which lacks S1, I just connected the Youngnuo trigger on top of the X1 trigger on camera and used the XPro trigger in my pocket for more convenient Godox flash adjustments, so you can almost always combine systems, as long as you can live in manual mode, either daisy-chaining triggers or using S1. Sometimes I use one of my most unfortunate photo purchases, the minuscule Fuji EF-X20 in S1 mode, aimed at the "real" slave flash if it is in a light modifier or umbrella or a moonlight located behind my Godox flashes and wouldn't reliably see the radio-controlled flashes when they trigger. I dial it down so low it won't light pollute, but it will still be enough to trigger the flash that I am using.

Btw, if you put a Youngnu flash in TTL mode, on top of a receiver sending a manual flash trigger, I don't think you will get the intended light settings, since normally when you send the manual trigger signal it comes as the photo is taken, and the TTL flash would then in most cases flash at 1/32 or 1/64 and then wait for the camera to calculate exposure needs, and send a second trigger pulse including final power requested for when the photo is taken. Since the photo has already been taken, the TTL flash would not actually contribute in a controllable way to the actual photo, since it would always just use its default baseline pre-exposure setting, expecting the camera to tell it what settings should actually be used for the "real" shot. I think you would have more control by daisy-chaining the triggers and have both systems in M. So I guess this boils down to that you should probably have bought the X1 trigger, not the receiver. Since the XPro trigger, doesn't have a hot shoe for other triggers it cant be used for daisy-chaining. But combining them and using the XPro off camera is a much nicer way to control your Godox flashes, and that can be done without having it connected to the camera. as long as it uses the same channel as the on-camera trigger. You also need to set the on-camera trigger to passive triggering, so it doesn't override the settings you do with the non-attached trigger.

Hi, i have no issue to read chanel and group on reciever with Yongnuo YN560 III but i cannot control Power setting from transmitter. But the function, signal is there to photograph wirelessly.
Also i can fully control my Metz 64 AF-1 speedlight👌🏼zoom and power setting, that is cool.

I noticed there is a coiled cable connected to your Yongnuo flash at the same time your flash is mounted on the Godox X1R-N. I speculate that's the source of your problem. Disconnect the coiled cable and let us know what happens. Good luck!

Thanks for very good review! I was wondering... I also have a x1r-n at home but mine has 6 instead of 4 pins in the hot shoe. It looks like it has both pins for Nikon and Canon. But I have an older flash intended for Canon and when I put it on the x1r-n it doesn't even trigger. I wanted to use it purely as a manual flash and I thought that at least the central pin should work with any flash but now I am confused. Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks for the video. I wonder if there is a way to use the Godox Nikon receiver to trigger an Einstein flash in manual mode? If it does work, would the transmitter be able to adjust the power coming from the flash?

Thanks for sharing. Do you think/know if the X2T trigger (instead of XPro) would work the same for remote shutter release capture with the X1R

Thanks, very helpful, I have a Godox TT685 and want to use it with my Nikon D700 & SB 900, I'm going to use the Godox X1T-N to trigger the TT685 (off camera) and will be trying to find the best way to trigger the SB900. Your video has helped me.

Thank you. Seems clear to me. Don't mix speedlight brands unless you are willing to compromise and deal with inconsistencies.

Can I use the Godox 350TT to fire my Canon Speedlite connected to a X1RC. Or is the optical slave enough from the 350TT

Ha, ha! With so many flashes, you are getting into Joe McNally's multiple TTL flashes territory. I think he used 16 flashes to capture images at a corner in NYC once. 😊
