2012-2019 Toyota Prius C Hybrid Fan Filter Cleaning & Inspection

In this video I show how to clean the hybrid fan filter on a 2012-19 Prius C. This is the most important maintenance item that needs to be done on a hybrid vehicle. Keeping the filter clean allows air to get to the hybrid battery and keep it cool which directly affects the life of the hybrid battery.

While the filter is off it's easy to inspects and clean the fan blades if they are dirty. In this case the fan blades were still clean. The filter needs to me removed to see the fan but if you are just doing a cleaning of the filter you could quickly use a vacuum after removing the trim cover.
