I just don't sneeze anymore . When I started to hold back my sneezes I started to notice a difference in the intensity of the cold or virus I was having at the time. The cycle of the virus is attacked two ways. (1) Holding the sneeze in the lungs initiates your antibodies. (2) By not going through the sneeze cycle you are not furnishing the virus of that intake of air. I have been doing this for years.

the antiviral meds reduce symptoms for 24 hours. . .but is reducing symptoms/alleviating symptoms of the flu the same as decrease infectivity as suggested in the vid?

I think you didn't mention isolation when you admit the patient. In my country it's policy to isolate the patient in both respiratory and contact isolation, when a patient is suspected of influenza. Is that the same for you?
