How to Bring Chrome Download Bar back at Bottom

Here is the new Fix: Right click on the Google icon - go to Properties - on the shortcut Tab find the "Target" then Paste the following in it and then save and close.
"C:\Program Files\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe" --disable-features=DownloadBubble

I Have seen some users are not able to find the download bubble, It's Correct, Google took that away for the time Being, and we are looking for another method to bring that Download bar again at the bottom, Untill then please stay Tuned.

I did this... and it's gone. There is no "Enable Download Bubble" anymore.

This was not helpful. I do not have an option for enable download bubble.

They have done something else now. When I enter the suggested string in the address bar, it sends me to some HUGE page called Experiments. Thanks for doing this but alas, it does not work. Damn Goggle.

Another way you can try is to press the start button on the taskbar to search for Google Chrome keywords, right-click and select open file location -> continue right-clicking on the google chrome icon and select properties -> at the shortcut tab, notice the target, at Here you add the line: --disable-features=DownloadBubble at the end of the path, note: the end of the path is a space and the line above, for example: "C:\Program Files\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe" --disable-features=DownloadBubble,
An additional note: if you put the google chrome icon on the taskbar, you need to delete the old taskbar icon and add a new google chrome icon

chrome delated this flag and now is not working

The download bubble is no longer in the list.

bottom line the option is no longer there! Someone please post a link where we can voice our unhappy and pissed off opinion to google! Thanks

Google is rolling out an update that removes these settings. No option.

If anyone is looking how to get the download bar back on the bottom the engineers took that option away. For the time being we are stuck with it. I don't think i am the only one that thinks that download thing going up the side of the page is as annoying as hell. It is also annoying not being able to see my downloads in real time that i have to click on another botton to see whats going on with them when it was a lot easier and more convenient to look at the bottom of the page

this fix doesn't even work, they removed the bubble flag in 119
the actual fix:
open chrome shortcut, go to properties, then target, go to the far right, hit space and add -disable-features=DownloadBubble

new fix
"C:\Program Files\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe" --disable-features=DownloadBubble

copy this into chrome target

It is no more showing in the search bar. Seems they have deleted the option. Google supports user friendly options but itself creates troubles for common man sometimes

it doesn't work anymore it seems. it tells me ; "this site can't be reached" and if you just search for flags it can't find anything

when I go to the link in the video, I am no longer seeing the "enable download bubble" button. Seems like chrome got rid of the option entirely.

Very good instructions but It doesn't work for me. There is NO "Enable Download " option visible, And I have scrolled through the entire list. I'm using windows 10

The flag seems to be gone now. It stopped working for me today. I really hate it when Google removes these options and doesnt let their users decide how they want it.
The download bar at the bottom is one of the main reasons why I normally prefer Chrome over other browsers I've tried and now they removed it entirely ffs. I didnt pick Chrome for it to be like every other browser...
Google really likes taking control away from their users as much as microsoft nowadays

This worked a few months ago, but now it doesn't. The enable download bubble doesn't pop up on the page anymore

In new 119 version of chrome doesn't have this download flag

I'm currently running Chrome Version 119.0.6045.106 and the Download-Bubble is no where to be found. This is as of 11/1/23

Enable download bubbles doesn't exist anymore, it sadly deleted them.
