I've been to Auschwitz. Listening to this lady really puts it into context otherwise it's just an empty space with some buildings, and one really can't begin to imagine the horror of the place. Even without this narrative I came away with a sense of desolation and despair.
ОтветитьAs of october 2023, she's still with us smiling and spreading love!
ОтветитьWhen I was in year 9 we did a WW2 Unit in History and we were taken to a Holocaust museum where we met a survivor. Hearing his story was horrific but it was definitely an eye opener because we read out this stuff but to see the actual scars he had on his skin was confronting. He showed us many artefacts and his Star of David was haunting. I will never forget that experience because the many holocaust generation who survived are sadly not with us anymore and can't tell their stories. And the fact that people deny this event is disgusting and so unempathic. We have much proof, evidence and testimonies from both the Allied and Germany sides.
ОтветитьThere were 3 things that really stood out to me from Ms Kitty's
documentary.
1. Despite learning English, with the accent, to the point you might never suspect she wasn't native born, she kept her Prussian accent with one particular word!
Bread! She says the word almost like 'broed', with 'brot' being the German word. It is very distictive.
2. Despite what she had been through, she threw the daggar at the door, not at any German! She had NOT lost her humanity despite what she had suffered! Which says something about her and perhaps, mankind itself!
3. In a similar vein, she has a wry sense of humor! They didn't rob her of that either! Despite her harships she was a well adjusted, productive member of her society!
Not easy to do!
Hats off to Ms Kitty! 100%, yes!!!
What a Strong and wonderful woman she is♥
ОтветитьIf you have seen this documentary and you visit Auschwitz' Birkenau afterwards, you will feel the pain, the powerlessness, the horror of humanity, the humiliation. I came away completely devastated and have since started to delve deeply into everything about WW2. The history. And when I look out into the world now, I become sad. Thanks to Kitty and the documentary makers for this documentary.
ОтветитьShe’s very very strong person. As a young woman it’s amazing story
ОтветитьThis woman is a force; especially when people are decrying racism over pancake syrup. I'm truly humbled.
ОтветитьLovely lady love to meet😂
ОтветитьI can’t believe that there still is Holocaust denier’s.
Ответить“There was always someone who picked me up and carried me along...”
Lord may we all strive to be these people during our short stay here on this earth !✝️
Her son seems like a really great guy
ОтветитьHow so important it is to keep this in everyone’s memory. Man’s inhumanity to man!!

My Mum Survived Then Killed, In 2003, So Wars Are Never Over Nor Won.
Heart wrenching
ОтветитьI strongly feel its time to hunt down those who gave all nazis a safe comfortable end of life experience.
ОтветитьI had the honor of hearing her speak in person. She was a special guest in two of my college courses.
ОтветитьCant imaging living in a death camp let alone surviving it and going on to live a free and full life, Kitty you are a very strong woman. You prove that evil can exist but good will still prevaile..thank you
ОтветитьWe watched it in school

As of 2023 Kitty is still alive.
ОтветитьHow can one human suffer that much and still keep going on? A mental giant. i admire her deeply.
ОтветитьStrong woman. Let's not forget what happened there so we do not repeat history.
ОтветитьFortunately there are 4.5 million Holocaust survivors to share their harrowing mythical experiences with us !
ОтветитьKitty is an amazing woman ! These camps were totally inhumane. The Nazi's committed the most evil horrific crimes. We must never forget and never let it happen again.
ОтветитьI thinqué Shé Bé 97 Yars Oldé Nõw
😲😲
Why aren’t they showing this in school? It’s true history. Heartbreaking and stark, but a must watch! May we humans never repeat such travesties
Ответить😡😡😭😭
ОтветитьTypical. Blame the NSD4P for everything the west does
ОтветитьIf you think something like this can't happen again, you're kidding yourself. Especially, as you see a former president of the United States of America facing 700 years in prison simply because he fought against the destruction of the country.
ОтветитьYou can tell she lying
ОтветитьThought it was John travolta in the thumbnail.😅
ОтветитьThe silence is deafening.
ОтветитьIn Google it says that she arrived in the camp when she was 16. The description here says she was 12. Which was it??
ОтветитьKitty is a remarkable lady. Here to remind us 'Lest we forget'.
ОтветитьThat thumbnail looks like John Travolta !
Ответитьunbelievable, as a German I will never understand how my people could do something like that, never forget, always be careful, don't give right-wing radicals a chance, this woman is a hero, thank you for this report of her martyrdom, the fact that she was able to return there is admirable and heroic . These stories are important for the whole world, never forget, something like this should never happen again, millions of people lost lives that could have been lived, generations that were wiped out. Terrible, cruel inhumanity
ОтветитьHer demeanor changed when she got to Aushwitz
ОтветитьKitty Hart-Moxon OBE will be 97 on December 1st ❤️
ОтветитьHer resilience is palpable
ОтветитьThat's my profession. Radiography
ОтветитьThis should b shown in all schools
