What is profit booking in mutual funds?

Sir, after one year if I redeem invested amount leaving gains in it in equity mutual funds, then also whether I shall have to pay LTCG TAXES?

Please let me know about profit booking strategy.
I was started my investments in SIP from last five yeras but am confused in word of profit booking. What is exactly profit booking means? Should i withdraw my ( Entire invested amount + profit ) or ( withdraw only profit amount on my total invested amount )??

Sir while rebalancing , instead of profit booking the Equity and moved to Debt . Shall I stop investing in equity and invest only in debt until rebalance 50%-50%.
