UNLEASH THE DARKNESS | Dark Urge Tactician - Baldur's Gate 3 | Drow Half-Elf Fighter | Part 1

In my current playthrough, also the second one, I also play a Dark Urge. A dwarven monk called Grimgnaw, maybe someone can remember him from Neverwinter Nights 1. Evil as hell. Making pacts with devils, is randomly cruel and prone to outbursts of violence, so he was the perfect Dark Urge.

Karlac was the damage MVP of your last playthrough so no surprise rolling fighter now haha

Shadowheart has a spell(Command) that could possibly make the cambion drop his weapon

Don't know if you're aware of it, but you can get the cambion (big demon at the end) to drop his flaming sword by using Command: Drop with Shadowheart. May take a couple attempts. Pretty cool early game weapon for a fighter.

Just started playing Dark Urge and omg I love it so much! also wow been playing it on adventurer 😂 The health difference is freaking crazy

In my Durge only Gale’s hand made it out of the portal. I kept it as a reminder to resist dark urges, with limited success.

when you reach lvl 9, respec as open hand monk.
Use void bulbs or black whole to gather them and then resonate and blast em. Even big bosses and their minions will die in one turn if done right 🤣🤣

Dark Urge is a great addition to "good" playthrough aswell. Actually, i like neutral/good urge even more then full psycho - it gives the edges to default story, which is pretty steril to be fair

Just got the game yesterday after umming and erring if I'd like it or not but since then I have put 15 hours into and have not stopped other than Hogwarts legacy which I am currently obsessed with this is one of the best games I have played in a very long time maybe ever and I will come back to this video after I Bing your tiefling playthrough

i definitely think resisting durge is better than going full evil imo, the resist durge route makes me emotional at times lol, especially romancing astarion

I don't know if you're into modding but just a plug for my favorites: WASD Character Movement and Native Camera Tweaks. They make the game so much more immersive by freeing you from click to move hell and enabling you to zoom in much farther, freely change your camera angle, and all that goodness. Believe it or not, somebody designed intricate and gorgeous ceilings for the environments in this game, but with the locked isometric view you can never appreciate them. Just something to try if you feel adventurous haha

Evil playthrough, hell yes! Embracing the Dark Urge is a blast, going to be fun seeing you experience it

OMG tactitian? ;D I'm so down for this and proud of you! :) It is way harder than the first playthrough.

Tactician difficulty - easy before 6lvl and very easy after.

Great to see you play durge tactician! Long resting does take 80 supplies but don't be afraid to rest often, there's a decent amount of durge night events on top of normal story and romance night events.

Durge playthroughs are great! Just watch out for anything cute and cuddly or innocent. Durge will take that personally.

While I’m not one of those “pronounce it right or else” types, but just in case anyone else decides to give you a hard time about it, drow is pronounced similarly to brow not throw. To be fair though, I called tieflings “teef-lings” just like Lae’zel does in Act 1 back when I first started playing. My friends roasted me to get it right.

YAAAY, welcome to the dark side :D just saying, consider going the redemption route, it makes for a better story IMO than just full on evil dark urge, but you do you, i am excited to see your reactions to everything :D

I also started the Dark Urge playthrough (drow ;)) and it gets... uncomfortable really quick ;)

I'm glad to see you're quickly getting back into the game for a new playthrough. =) I'm commenting as video is starting so forgive if you answer as you create character... But I guess a question I as the viewer have for your "character" moving through the story is this: Given that you are suffering from amnesia and don't know your past, do you feel IN GENERAL that your character will choose to accept and give into the urge or will you be attempting to resist it? Without spoiling anything, as Dark Urge there is literally no way to have a "clean" playthrough from a moral standpoint, so you can have your character walk the line in a sense (especially considering your amnesia).

But I think having a clear idea as to "How" your character feels about this "urge" and the implications of everything will be important to the playthrough as Dark Urge. The endings for the story of Dark Urge can vary VERY VERY radically and line up very nicely with your decisions that you make throughout the game. FOOD FOR THOUGHT: It's easy for a Dark Urge player from a character standpoint to start as good and transition to evil as time goes on or even vice versa if you decide to do so. Obviously staying the course in either direction has it's merits as well (Constantly fighting your urge or constantly giving into it).

Just keep in mind that if you constantly give into the urge, the story goes DARK and stays dark and gets darker than you thought.

Ooh nice can't wait to see you experience the dark urge storyline, that is the real canon story of BG3, it is soooooooo much better and lore accurate than the generic default story. I hope you'll love it ❤
