How to Massage Your Dog for Relaxation, Mobility & Longevity

I’m trying to get my puppy in the habit of letting me do this with him, especially his hips. We had two beagles with hip dysplasia. I’ve decided to start early and try to prevent some of these things. Right now, my puppy puts my hand in his mouth if I touch something ticklish. We’re a work in progress.

Do you turn them to do the other side?

I've just started doing this and my dog is super relaxed until I reach her back legs. Then she gets straight up and moves away from me. I guess this is a clear sign of discomfort/pain in this area but am not sure what to do - she has arthritis so it's not strange that she has some kind of pain but I'd obviously like to help ease it. Should I carry on trying with a super light touch in the back legs? Or avoid them? Thank you ❤
