Stunning and great practice and I hope to really start diving deeper into enjoying practicing.

It can feel tedious prepping my space then staring at a blank white canvas.

You have given me confidence to draw and just practice and enjoy the process. Let my mind flow and relax.

My skills increasing give me more range, style and what ever my imagination wants to produce comes out so much better then before. Because my mind can reference more freely with out the physical objects now.

I truly loved the last painting. Just stunning. I was not expecting so much detail from one brush, her facial details and the colors I'm for highlights on her dress were amazing.

Thank you for sharing and helping me learn.

I will try this practise. It looks like a fun way to improve my drawing skills. I 've done something similar before, but it will not hurt to do it more times. That painting you did at the end of the video is amazing. I love all the colours you used in the dress. You did a really great job there.

What do you do with all your practice pieces. I have stuff lying all over the place , and dont want to throw them away. And I know they wont get put anywhere else. Its art clutter!

breaking anything into shape helps so much, not just with humans but any subject that you want to draw. i find that it helps with qa lot with new subjects i want to draw. and highlighter are great to use when trying to get loose flowing drawings

Wow. The reclining poses look so relaxed and natural along with the action poses that have such flow and energy. I can't help but wonder if your dancing talents and rhythmic moves translate into your hand motion (not discounting practice). Maybe farfetched but something to ponder 😄My figure drawings look so stiff, kind of like my dancing abilities, LOL.

Another fabulous video Jess! I’m worried for years about (not) having an art style, but you’re absolutely right about not forcing that! On your recommendation – I’ve treated myself to some Blackwing Matte, and I’m looking forward to breaking them out for this challenge. 🎉

Jess, I know you are high professional and also highly soulful, you are on both sides of that world as far as creativity goes. I have been struggling to create because the idea of lightfastness or art fading at all has just kinda kept me from wanting to create. Do you have a response to that? Sort of a philosophy I might consider adopting...or whether i should care?
