Recoil on AK74 is surprisingly soft, even though it's gas-piston operated. It feels very similar to 5.7x28 carbines.

An AR-15 mag will work in any AR-15 (because standardized). AK magazines may need a metal file to help be “universal”.

I like both so I own both. Romanian SAR-1 and Sig M400 Tread. Both fun to shoot. Both are great zombie repellant.

It is a truly direct impingement system (m4) but in addition the gas is channelled in a way that allows equalization of back side pressure to chamber side pressure (if that makes any sense to you kids out there)

Why you alwais forget about price? Russian arms made to be close or better perfomance then USs. But 3-5 cheaper and tehnogically way simplyer to mass produce. It is made for big cruel war.

AK can be used by both male and females, but the AR can be used by all 72 American different genders.

I watched a report where Ukrainians exchanged rifles received from the USA and the EU for AK, and explained this by the fact that they have to be in mud and sand all the time. The M4 is cool, but a cheap and reliable AK is used all over the world in war.

In my opinion, the strongest AK caliber is 5.56 Romanian(used also in Romanian PM MD 63)and AP Soviet for AK 74

HEY. ANYONE MEASURE THE THROAT BY DROPPING A BULLET ONLY IN BARREL TIL IT HITS RIFLING THEN MESSURE IT. (SEATING DEPTH EVEN ON FACTORY ROUNDS) to much of a jump as iN those fn hi-points will throw your bullet everywhere. Gc3 with same throat bullet seating depth also shot crappie. I reload so adjusted seating depth DRAMATICALLY increased accuracy. Wonder if their throat depth too deep. Ports on top only will also throw off accuracy a bit

The Ak is obviously better just americans cant accept the fact it's not american made so they say it isnt the better gun.

I cut open an ak74 round once it had a hollow metal triangle in the nose I assume that is what makes it tumble

Put a Lantac Dragon muzzle brake on a M4/M16. Will have just as good recoil management as the AK74.

Yeah, nah, yeah. I grew up on AK's my whole life until only 2 years ago when I finally decided to adopt a NATO Caliber with similar controls.

AR's still feel very foreign to me but I have to learn. Regardless, AK will always be in my pre-programmed nature.

The "Krink." Hard to find but the 74U is a total good time to shoot, I'm no ballistics expert but I count my blessings every day that I live in a country, or to be more precise, a state that gives me access to AR15, Ak47, AK74, a 1932 Mosin (my favorite just because of the historical stuff), and a ton of other options. This was very informative. The PWS AR is really great, btw.
