The Definitive Elder Dragon Power Tier List | Monster Hunter

Hello commenters, I'm not sure if this video has peaked in its growth yet, but since now a significant portion of my subscribers are from this video I'd like to ask for any ideas for Monster Hunter content you'd like to see going forward. As you may have seen, I didn't expect this video to be as wide reaching or well recieved as it was so I'm thankful for you tuning in to my little channel. If you've got an idea please post it as a reply to this comment to help me brainstorm.

Though not specified in game, there is a fatalis you missed from mh4u that fans have dubbed molten fatalis, in game it is a crimson fatalis but much stronger with a lot of unique attacks

chameleos , teostra and daora are basically a trio, they all counter each other. chameleos is in their same tier

Just gonna leave this here, valstrax doesn’t have turf wars because MOST of its targets will die from the ambush. Imagine getting hit by a jet at mach2 just for the jet to then start slashing you with its rocket arms the second it gets up

Though I'd say the strongest monster of them all isn't an Elder Dragon, but rather a lowly Neopteran. Ahtal-Ka, is the only monster who's been seen using tools, building machines, and if a monster can make use of the same power as humans do, its potential is limitless.

combat wise valstrax would be higher dragon on dragon just lacks the wide scale destruction.

one minor thing, I would say that Miralis should be the top of the list. The fatalis trio are quite capable, and can take on a fortress easily, and unleash a great amount of destruction, but half the danger of fatalis, on a grand scale, is it's ability to show up without warning and destroy before any preperations can be made to fight back. Case in point, White Fatalis shows up out of a solar eclipse. Miralis gave the guild plenty of advanced warning, having great lighthouses that ignite when miralis is waking up, to the point they got an entire fleet of hunter ships, stocked with hunters ready for a nation busting fight, and Miralis tore them asunder and sank the fleet in a single day, hours after waking up from an extended hibernation. The story of 3U tells us that the Tainted Sea wasn't it's nest, but simply where it decided to park itself for a bit, after it sank the hunter fleet, with multiple ruined ships as evidence of how trivial it treats regular hunters.

Good cuz this guy has to touch some grass so u know his mental health os shattered and bad exactly for that reason....I need a mf that doesnt understand the concept of grass to make this video but put their heart soul and overservation skills in...Some sick attacks that this guy narrates that I knew about too don't get out in....another issue a no concept of grass person would wouldn't do....cause they spend hours ontop of hours doin pointless shit especially if one was to make this tier list they would record each elder dragon for 2 to 3 hours to clip all the attacks and sync em up with the narration and while we talkin about narration they would also throw in non database or better yet just not speak the database word for word bar bar

I wouldn't say velkhana's placement is entirely wrong but it would be nice to mention one of it's habits is freezing over volcanos

Malzeno not only destroyed an entire city, which would at least make him a "Fort Destroyer", but also kept Gaismagorm at bay and afraid for 50 years. My guy shouldn't be that low.

I would pay good money to see Safi fight White Fatalis

Isn't it implied that White Fatalis was the one who destroyed the old world? The ancient advanced civilization that created the equal dragon weapon.

I think it is correct to put white fatalis above the others based on lore, but in the GU the fight with crimson was a lot harder for me and my buds because that lava map is just horrible for the eyes

Bottom tier should only be the Kirins and Chameleos, I think. Bump the rest up to True Elders because that's what those other four are. Not as strong as other Elders sure, but can still be a bigger threat to people than the other monsters.

Teostra deserves to be higher

I have a couple small disagreement, but overall pretty dang accurate I'd say. Definitely agree with the White Fatalis being at the top. As many crazy impressive monsters as there are in this game, there's just something different about that one. It seems more god than monster.

Alatreon should be above Safi'jiiva imo. It's not even fully confirmed if Safi is forbidden monster level(which he might be) and Alatreon has more feats. Also, Fatalis is above Dire Miralis.

My only gripe with this is that Valstrax is shown to have an active rivalry with Amatsu on more than one occasion. CG Val is responsible for destroying the civilization in the Sandy Plains, and is regarded as being on the same threat level as Ibushi and Narwa.

I highly disagree with blackveil and namielle, they are both very powerful even for elder dragons.

That thing looks like a mix between odogaron, zinogre and mizutsune

I'm at work, phone auto-playing in the background. Needless to say, I was confused when the Halo theme started playing, followed by someone talking about Monster Hunter.

Came for the Monster Hunter, stayed for the Halo soundtrack.
