Yep i just started a jianzhou qing campaign and by 1550 i have all of china as qing ! Really fun run lots of action. I waited a bit before taking mandate of heaven though since horde razing provinces and cavs with manchu is super OP and i roflstomped oirat etc snaked into tibet tool all the land there and when i was ready became qing immediately declare war on the countries that broke away (usually wu yue and some others but those 2 have 2 key provinces for MoH) then destroyed the rest i got to 200 OE and had so much rebels spawn haha but in 5 years i stabilized and still up on tech with 50 innovativenes really fun

It's the best and most overpowered nation. Unless your against them as Japan. HOLY GODDAMED THEY NEVER RUN OUT OF MANPOWER!

They had 20 mandate and I had 33k of my own troops including banners, I broke my tributary but in my game Oirat was their tributary and ashikaga was my ally. Ming troops still beat me even I had a 3 star general. I managed to stack wipe a few of their armies but overall I still lost and became a tribute again. How do I win this

as soon as you take the mandate witout tributaries, your campaing will be over u_u
you should take exploration and get a lot a tributaries south east first.

When I try this Oirat allies all the Jurchen tribes.

All is good the mandate taking part was quite annoying .... knowing the pain !

but what happens if korchin allied Oirat? Also Yeren allied oirat too :(

Does anyone know why I need to get 1000 total dev to from Qing when I get the mandate?

If your primary culture groups is one of the Altaic groups(like korchin) when you for qing, you will get Mongolian and Qing missions. Thank me later for this life hack. Enjoy more claims and bonuses.

When forming Qing, DO NOT take the mandate. Instead, if you fully annex the current mandate holder it will destroy the mandate of Heaven, from then the way to forming Qing is to have 1000 development which will be extremely easy, its not as fast as taking the mandate but the mandate of heaven is an absolutely awful mechanic and you'll have more fun in your campaign without it.

Ended up in 30 years of constant war with ashikaga ming and Korea. Ming never enacted the first reform so I had to wait for the disaster to tick the mandate down. I attacked Korea to try and shorten the truce and ming cheated by instantly gaining 70k troops and 20k manpower in less than a year. Was incredibly fun with my 25k troops vs two wars with more than double my own soldiers. I won but it took me to 1500 and I hadn't even taken Beijing.

Should you use infantry banners or cavalry banners?

I prefer to stay as Manchu as long as i can, horde government is OP. When i reach my gov cappacity limit then i going for Mandate and form Qing.

If Ming declares on Oirat before I'm ready to declare, should I join the war or no?

Can't you make a Qinq while staying horde, like when forming Yuan? Just finish the country with mandate to make it disappear.

You can also form QING when nobody has the Mandate (Full Annex) and you have more than 1000 dev, which gives you ridiculous ideas and you can continue playing as a horde

sorry, what do you do when oirat allies all countries near you though? it happened to me, i couldnt kill korea because of the inconvenience and then they declared on me during ming war and i died.

Guide or maybe a playthrough on long term horde play to show the cavalry relevance in the game. Maybe trying to form the mongol empire as oirat/great yuan. Thanks

I'm playing as the Celts. Can someone tell me how I can join the HRE?
I started in Ireland and conquered it all within 5-6 years. Problem is, Scotland allied France, England allied Portugal & Castile. So I allied Austria & Aragon & Scotland.
I have nowhere I can expand. I tried to join the HRE, but it said my capital isn't next to the HRE lands, so I invaded Denmark, & took their Islands and Holstein.
Now its saying that I'm too big, and that I need 223 relations with Austria & my relations are maxed at 200.
Are there tricks/exploits to allow me to join the HRE? Am I too big in number of provinces or in development? Should I lower my development & then increase it after?
If there is no way to cheese it... is there a console command to join HRE? I wanted to eventually take all ancient Celtic lands but I can't see where I can expand...
Everyone is extremely tough and in huge alliances all over Europe. The only thing I can see to do is wait until I can get colonies...

Whatever you do, do not seize that mandate until you have taken Canton and Nanjing. Also, forts scrub devastation faster so build those everywhere.

I want a great horde guide. I struggle getting the golden horde achievement.

In the first Ming war you shouldn't take war-reps right? since shortening the truce with Ming by attacking Korea will cancel the war reps? Better to use the 10% Warscore in the first war to demand provinces and take war reps in the Korean war?
