Lighting definitely makes a significant difference in how natural a scene looks. But the frame rate cost with RT enabled is just too high at times! Hope they add dlss support to these titles soon as well!
ОтветитьI tested RE 2 + 3.
Loss of 100FPS at 1440P with FSR.
The most useless technology Nvidia could bring ...
I'd rather welcome more DLSS support than fucking reflections and shadows.
As always with raytracing. In 99% of the cases, this is not worth the performance hit.
ОтветитьOne thing I don't understand - why is this game now over triple its install size after the update? They didn't even improve the textures
ОтветитьThe lights still dont cast shadows. I dont see the point of raytracing lights if they dont cast shadows.
ОтветитьRemember this is Ray Tracing for AMD cards, the game has no DLSS. Take the hint, FSR only. This is also not CS:GO shooter, were you need 144+ fps. So all that is needed is 60 fps, the I need 144+ fps people are not real gamers.
ОтветитьThe biggest difference is, if you look in the smashed mirrors in the house with RT enabled. Now finally the whole room is mirrored (except Ethan as usual).
ОтветитьColor me blind but I really can't find a major difference between RT and non-RT 🙄
ОтветитьI like this. My 3060 ti doesn't.
ОтветитьGI or bust
ОтветитьThis technology is a shame, little difference for a lot of performance, developers should use the power of Hardware to improve explosions, details on faces, more particles and others... Ray tracing is rubbish! I have RTX2080 and I don't use RT
ОтветитьA 40 fps hit!? Damn lol
ОтветитьThis show how great job they did with the original lighting of the game, similar to metro exodus.
ОтветитьHonestly I feel like you need HDR to appreciate ray tracing.
ОтветитьLooks like it could have really used some DLSS love as well. Lots of jaggies.
ОтветитьShadows look a lot better. More darker
Ответитьonly difference is 40 fps
Ответитьkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk
ОтветитьThis is somewhat ok, not far from RE2/3 but still good enough.
ОтветитьJust looking for 72fps makes a big difference over 60 on 144hz
ОтветитьNo difference
ОтветитьLighting is definitely much more realistic, but at the same time it's kinda subtle. RE2 and RE3 definitely utilize raytracing better, with all the reflections and all.
Ответитьso whats the diffrent i whish i watch this video sooner and then i didint wast my time and internet
ОтветитьRT doesn`t work for RE games , except Village where it was significantly noticeable in some areas . RE 2 for instance has very good quality reflections without RT
ОтветитьI FREAKING LOVE IT!
So much more realistic and nice shadowing and lighting.
Epic stuff, really.
And i am not a fan of raytracing and i think that RE7 has some of the best baked lightings in the genre. Even tho - RT makes it even better. GJ Capcom and thx for giving us this for FREE! <3
The game already had baked lighting, with global illumination. The improvements were so minor, and sometimes seemed to make scene LESS atmospheric, even if it is technically more realistic.
ОтветитьThe game is so dark with ray tracing off. Apparently turning off ray tracing also turns off all indirect lights all together. They need to fix that. The sheriff's flashlight doesnt have light with RT off
ОтветитьOne thing i really hate abt ray tracing in this game is that in some places it's so dark you can't see anything. Like in some drawers for instance or just anywhere you have to interact.
ОтветитьI have a laptop with rtx 3050 4gb graphic, it feels laggy when i turn on ray tracing in RE 2/3 remake and RE 7 .... Is there anyway to make it better ?
Ответитьthere is no different lol ok is small tiny difference but is not really better this is not real ray tracing lol
ОтветитьUntil now only metro exodus, control, cyberpunk, the witcher, portal and observer used RT as a real game changer.
ОтветитьWhat is the name of music
ОтветитьPhahahah :D I kicked that one in the head. Minus 40% fps for the sake of near-zero picture changes. Resident evil 7 needed only one fix, HDR fix which in past patches was incredibly dark, and when trying to add brightness, bright lights became completely, unnaturally white, which spoiled the immersion. RTX was never needed for this game, the changes are too insignificant. You will have much more fun playing 4K 144+ FPS than 4K 60FPS with RTX, I assure you. RTX is needed by old games with inherently poor lighting, like Portal, it has really been transformed beyond recognition.
Ответитьi see zero diffence
ОтветитьRT gave more light to the world in general. I could finally see in dark zones. I literally couldn't see the door in Main House 1F Laundry Room because of the dark XD. So Ray Tracing was way better option for me
ОтветитьRt in this game is not top notch. Give it PAth tracing to shine
ОтветитьI'm about to play it for first time - I like to look at benchmarks before I play a game - but I have to say from this lil demonstration of rtx it looks like the artists did pretty good with non rtx lighting.
ОтветитьWhat’s a good hdr settings for pc? I’m using vg259qm monitor. Thanks for the reply
ОтветитьThe game hasn't been made with ray tracing in mind, so they used methods available at the time to make it so much realistic without losing so much performance; and now with RT ON these tricks won't make a better scene. This installment is just fine without ray tracing, or they have to do a real overhaul to make ray tracing work as it should in this one.
ОтветитьBefore and Before
Ответитьre7 is such a great game, i played it on my vega 3 laptop first time and finished it, that was wonderful even with 720p low because of how good the story was, re7 is my favorite re game
