Holy shit it's not an "italian espresso maker", moka coffee is moka coffee and espresso is espresso, they are not the same thing
Ответитьmoka coffe is not an espresso in italy
ОтветитьDefinitely not a Mocha pot. It's a Mokapot.
ОтветитьThis video shows how to not make a coffee.
1) Do not use boiled water.
2) Do not press the coffee.
3) For 1 cup use 6 grams of coffee. Example: your moka chamber contains 150ml of water => use 15 grams of coffee. For 50-60 ml use only 6 grams.
4) Do not create mountains.
5) DO NOT PRESS THE COFFEE
6) ONLY LOW, VERY LOW HEAT
7) Remove moka from the heat when the last 1/4 of water starting to fall out because the last part it's just dirt water and taste shit
8) THIS VIDEO SHOWS HOW TO NOT MAKE A CORRECT COFFEE
1. Moka pots don't make espresso. They just don't get to a high enough pressure. An Italian espresso maker is an espresso machine. The damn word is Italian ffs.
2. The boiling water is fine, but you need to pour up to the pressure valve and then base your proportions around that quantity of water.
3. Don't let it get to the point of hissing. If it's hissing hit the bottom chamber with cold water immediately to stop the brewing process altogether. The violent bubbling hissing releases a lot of very bitter compounds so even a little bit will result in a drastically less tasty cup of water.
I started using one about a year ago. I love it, best coffee ever but i wish I'd known this when i first got it. italians and coffee snobs have no concept of how much a cup is, its 8 ounces, not 4 nor 3 not 6 but 8 ounces. I bought a 3 cup coffee maker online i laughed when i opened it. Then i bought a "6 cup" pot and its actually one and a half real cups (12 ounces) and its perfect
Ответитьshould you melt sugar into your water before or after the brew?
ОтветитьI got told not to press the coffee ground as pressing it requires more pressure than the moka is capabke and that, before pouring the finished coffe, you should stir it up because the last part to get out is the most diluted
ОтветитьAmerican here* I've been living in Italy for almost a year now, and I use this almost every day. Another trick, taught to me by my Italian girlfriend, is to put a little sugar on top of the grounds before screwing the top on for brewing. This will absolutely remove the bitterness from the espresso
ОтветитьY boiling water??
ОтветитьDon’t drink a cup of coffee made like this as if this was your average coffe. This stuff is packed with caffeine, you can drink a shot of it. More will make you feel REAL BAD trust me. In Italy it’s how me make coffe everyday and one moka brew gives enough for 4 people depending on the size. It’s an espresso not a long.
ОтветитьMoka pot isn't Italian. It's from Mokha, Yemen. And that's not how to use it.
ОтветитьPeople with no Italian grandmother
ОтветитьOne once violently exploded in my kitchen pouring boiling water and coffee everywhere. Thanksfully my mom was too far to get hurt. I live in fear of this devices since.
(We had to replace the ceiling as the top got propulsed in the air at great velocity and made a hole)
I can make 300-400cup of coffee for a day i got 20 moka to prepare the espresso 😅😅😅
ОтветитьIt’s a macchinetta Bialetti, not a moka pot my Nonna will have a heart attack if you call it a moka pot
ОтветитьThe worst way to make coffee ever , with all respect to italian fellas.
ОтветитьMoka pot is an Italian COFFEE maker. Not espresso.
ОтветитьA perculator?
ОтветитьWho the hell weighs their coffee
ОтветитьI never see videos on these telling you to cook over medium heat. The first time I did this, I turned the heat to high and left the top open like they show. It spurted boiling water straight out like a hose and if I had been standing next to it, I'd be in the hospital with burns. Now I do it on medium and stand across the damn room.
Ответитьwhy did the coffee vapor look yellow ?
ОтветитьWouldn’t an “Italian Espresso Maker” just be a espresso machine?
ОтветитьNo boiling water at all. Please cold shall be
ОтветитьI’m not weighing shit
Ответитьmocca pot lol
Ответитьannouncement: nobody gives a shit if ur Italian and ur mom's are having heart attacks pre heating the water makes it taste objectively better and won't burn the coffee grounds
Ответить👍👍👍👍
ОтветитьIm a dog so basically the right way is to first beat yourself with the moka pot with 20 grams of pressure. Put your face on the stove top. once ur face makes a hissing sound it prepared and put it down. Dont heat the water . force the coffee and it takes better says my Grandma from Italy, Hispanic and Cuban.
ОтветитьI use a Mokapot every day for my coffee! My favourite is Bialetti
ОтветитьMamma Mia 🫣
ОтветитьThat looks sour af 😂
ОтветитьThinking of ditching my large coffee maker for one of these. Do you need to have the beans in an espresso grind or can you use a drip grind?
ОтветитьI love reading pissed Italian comments🤣
ОтветитьI think heating the water up before pouring it in the bottom is the right move. It prevents the coffee from being cooked burnt as it sits on the stove too long. Who gives a rats ass how italian grandmas do it🤣
ОтветитьNo, you don't need to boil the water or use any other hacks. It doesn't improve the coffee, it makes it worse. Doing it the traditional way by starting with cold or room temperature water only takes 3 to 6 minutes. For the correct traditional Italian way to do it since 1933, search for "Annalisa J moka pot" video.
ОтветитьIf my grandmother had wheels, she would’ve been a bicycle.
ОтветитьI think drinking a glass of espresso is like an heart attack
ОтветитьThis is europe
ОтветитьWhat is the difference between moka pot and South Indian coffee maker?
ОтветитьThis is probably not so healthy because it's made out of aluminum. So you drink it with your coffee.
Ответитьnope 😅🤦🤷
ОтветитьYou dont put already boiling water ...
Ответитьi love how much effort a moka pot takes not to overextract your beans 😂
ОтветитьDon't touch the grounds with your fingers
ОтветитьI don’t know why they call it Italian everything on this video is Arabic even the name
ОтветитьThat is called GRECA in latin america
Ответить🛑🛑🛑ALÜMİNİUM İS DANGERS🛑🛑🛑🛑
ОтветитьThis is so wrong!!!!!! You don't need to measure the water quantity ( just fill until water reaches the valve, a bit under the valve ) and absolutely no hot water!!!! also you don't need to be so picky about the quantity of coffee! I mean nobody in Italy, NOBODY weights the coffe, you just do it by seeing how much coffee you can put, of course it will be better with experience.
You just waste your time! Lol.
In reality also espresso usually is not weight, never seen a real barista do all this shit that we see doing by home baristas lol.
Ps,don't press the coffee in the moka pot lool. So many questions haha
How to piss off your Italian grandmother 101
