What a load of “best sailor”, fanboy bull. Stop using “fastest” anything w monohulls. Banque Populaire trimaran crossed in 3 days, 33 kts, 2009. Colville crossed single handed in 4 days, no techno beat background music required.
ОтветитьThis wouldn't have been possible without such a diverse and inclusive crew
ОтветитьThe fastest boat until Team Malizia came along :)
ОтветитьSeaman are made differently. If you ever sailed, you-ll know, these are not ordinary men!
ОтветитьWhy is it that the sailing World produces some of the coolest materials and applications but has some of the douchiest people of any sport?
ОтветитьWould have been nice to see more sailing and less banging on in front of the camera.
Miss opportunity to show case the pure sailing element.
How come 4 on 4 off? Would it not be better 6 on 6 off, or is it too demanding on your body
ОтветитьWhy the f would you call it Comanche???>>>>>>??????????? That's fucked up, man,
ОтветитьCOMANCHE. this is not your word, you white bastards.

38 For as in those days before the flood,

Seriously? Hundred years ago they did it only 1d 3h slower? Without any modern stuff and knowledge about weather and oceans? On a wooden boat? Hmmm....
ОтветитьCrazy how they sailed across the Atlantic in just 22 minutes. Crazy how they sailed across the Atlantic in just 22 minutes.

ОтветитьThis video was great till the silly comment re “weather gods”. There is only one God and he deserves the glory for His creation.
ОтветитьThe skipper is a bit of a poser….
ОтветитьThat’s faster than most motor boats!!
Ответитьthere is a loophole on the rules, they could use a hydrofoil as stabilizer and potentially hit 60 knots.
Ответитьas someone who crossed the Atlantik multiple times you have my respect
ОтветитьThese guys are going to be real mad when they find out about 450HP outboard engines. They’re going to be FURIOUS when they find out you can mount 4 of them.
ОтветитьAmazing boat and crew, way to go! Congratulations! To quote the talented song writer/composer, Beck “ I don’t need no wheels, I don’t need no gasoline, cause the wind that is blowing, is blowing like a smoke machine” congrats you are living legends!
ОтветитьOh wow this is super sick! Y’all be careful out there man! Them waves will get you for sure! Stay at em though!

Ответить"We are gonna knock this bastard off" is a paraphrase from Sir Edmund Hillary when he conquered Everest with Tengzing Norgay.
Hillary said "we knocked the bastard off" in typical Kiwi fashion.
Cool hearing the Aussie say it in the video.
This was a wonderul watch :-)
ОтветитьThese guys have iron balls, I know what I say having made Atlantic crossing on a ship.

ОтветитьThere’s guys who do this solo. He’s not impressive
ОтветитьWas sailing in the Sydney Harbour the other day and this monster flew past us, it was incredible to see it up close under sail.

ОтветитьThe music at the starting point Ambrose Light was 🔥
ОтветитьAnd then foil came....
ОтветитьSo what?

ОтветитьThis is put yourself in harm's way to do something no one's ever done before. Wtf you think your doing?!? I just watched a dude sail around the world solo. That's danger. You got 10 ppl to jerk off
ОтветитьI don’t understand why? Just for the sake of it? Doesn’t look like fun at all and no one really cares.
ОтветитьRaced on a boat called Boomerang in the early 80’s if I remember correctly, she was one of the first maxis at 83’ heck of a ride at the time my memory has faded I’m 65 does anyone else remember this boat
ОтветитьImagine being hit by that boom mid-jibe.
ОтветитьAt 74 and having spent a lifetime at sea and also an avid sailor of yachts I absolutely loved this presentation; it got me involved and I was elated for that crew and their hard work and team spirit with their brilliant success. Very nice indeed!
ОтветитьI would love to see a challenge racing from Europe to America and see how fast it is possible to sail upwind.
ОтветитьWow!
