Madden 12 Tutorials - Shotgun Normal (Beat Man Defense)

Having a TE in shotgun is pretty big this year. The reason being is that man bump is highly effective, however, the TE never gets jammed off the line of scrimmage in Madden 2012. In this play, the slot left WR as well as TE are on routes that completely destroy man coverage.

In this play, look for the crossing route over the middle as the first read. When your WR breaks, the CB freezes for a split second causing the WR to get 4 yards of separation. The next read is the un-bumpable TE for the easy user catch over the middle. Pass lead down and to the outside for the highest chance at completing the pass. This play is great to mix in when your opponent runs man coverage.

Play: PA Dolphin Cross
Formation: Shotgun Doubles WK
Playbook: Miami

Setup:
1. In route outside right WR
2. Out route, smart route outside left WR
3. Block the HB
