Fk yeah man I'm no pro but this is my plan, the watering & oil & plastic. Ppl rid me for wanting to use oil, plastic, watering much . I talk about it. My question is I will be installing a lift in the future. The hole is 6". Should I dig the key way & how the heck am I going to pour all that by myself?????
I had to just brake do & decide to pore it in 4 sections. It's only me myself & I doing it. Not rich enough it buy a truck. I don't understand (psi) I used to paint & different things called for different psi. I understand it in painting. How is it in concrete anyone?????.
nice video coverage!
ОтветитьHow much would this job cost ?
Ответить10 out of 10
I have never seen a more anal concrete job.
Anal as in over the top particular.
This is the Mona Lisa of concrete slabs.
Guess you could call it a DIY because Leonardo da Vinci did do the painting himself so that made him a do it yourselfer I recon.
Thanks for a great video my man and I’d hire you in a heart beat but would probably have a heart attack after seeing the bill.😂
How much does a job like they usually run?
ОтветитьAs a concreter in Australia, you guys have no idea and made this job way harder then it needed to be
Ответитьwhich city is this?
ОтветитьPlease satisfly my curiosity and respond to this. I have never seen a foundation with such a big step between their rebars. Also never seen only one layer of rebars. What on earth are you basing off your foundation design ?
ОтветитьWhy not use a mini excavator for the digging? just didnt want to pay for the rental?
ОтветитьThanks for the info and I wished you could let’s us know the average price for those projects ??
ОтветитьI like your method using the board in middle of the pour to support the screed board. The guy i worked for we used a 10 foot long 1-1/4" pipe that was supported by 1" x 4" steaked in the ground below grade with #7 nails toenail to hold it in place. As you float the concrete you would pull the pipe then you would take a shovel of concrete and fill the void the pipe left. This method made a very even floor.
ОтветитьAlways enjoy watching your stuff! Looks like great work!
ОтветитьHow much was this job?
Ответитьnot a garage, but a rocket launch pad
ОтветитьI just poured something similiar, 30 X 48 quonset with the keyway. I had a lot of form bowing. as footing was 20" deep. Is it normal to need form support every 3'. We used 38 yards for the job, 168 pcs of 20' #4 rebar. It was far too hot to do a good job. I would not recommend pouring on upper 80's to 90 degree days. It dried far too quickly even with visqueen, and cement wetting.
ОтветитьFor keeping wet:
In India, on the next day, you would make a temporary dam all around the edge to hold water. (1 part portland cement to 5 parts sands, I think. And about 3 inches high.) The surface is kept filled with water for about 10 days, and the "dam" comes off neatly then.
Another note: It is almost impossible to find people do any such work well here! The average IQ is said to be about 80, and blue-collar work is looked down upon, so ....
When watching such videos from the West, I sometimes feel like crying! And I have actually cried at times when watching Indians -- live -- doing such work! So keep making such videos so that we know what is possible! Thanks.
What would be the cost for this foundation, if anybody has a rough estimate
Ответитьwhere do you buy the fiber and how many bags per truck load.
Ответитьso engine oil works to coat the form boars. and do yo recommend this plastic chairs.
ОтветитьWow wish I could get these guys to come to Alaska and pour my garage pad for a 26 x 25 fabricated steel building. I can’t even get a call back.
ОтветитьExcellent job.
Ответить完美视频房屋在于实用性🌟平顶屋面仅一张钢片够了.
ОтветитьThis is for tank service!!!!
Ответитьwhat was the cost for the homeowner i wonder?
ОтветитьWHY NO POLY UNDER THE FOOTERS ?
ОтветитьA joy to watch... thanks for posting.
ОтветитьWhat's the purpose of the gravel on top of the plastic??
ОтветитьWow! I didn't know concrete took that much work. Very professional, including the video production quality.
This beautiful slab had to cost a small fortune.
Well, DIY can definitely be taken out of this video title. GREAT slab but NOT DIY. DIWT (Do It With a Team), yes.
ОтветитьIm going to go ahead and point out that the "DIY" part in the title is pretty misleading. Great work but this is an entire crew of pros doing this....as in multiple guys who know what theyre doing, not a do it yourselfer.
ОтветитьThanks for this vid, i am about to gove it a whirl! Love the background music, reminds me of Jackson Brown
ОтветитьReally informative. Thank you.
Ответитьcool time lapse.
ОтветитьLooks awesome. I did a 18x30 shop pad the same with, but also threw in some old bent up pallet racking mesh from work. I did the slab in two sections for a couple reasons. So two 18x15 pours. No cracking other than the crack between the two slabs met. I did another 18x30 slab right next to it in a similar fashion 4 years later but this time in a single pour, no cracks at all. I did do nearly 2 feet of compacted gravel under the whole area though.
ОтветитьNo styrofoam under pillow? Amateur job, see Finland technology ,
ОтветитьThe eggs part was the icing on the cake.
Ответитьis a vapor barrier a must?
ОтветитьThat's a very nice looking slab. Lots of work but each step has it's purpose and contributes to a fine job in the end. Two things : You put a slight crown down the middle... doesn't that cause puddling at both walls? Up north in snow country we put the high point at the back of a garage and taper it to the big door OR we taper the entire floor to the middle where there is a drain that "day-lights" out the side to a low point. The melting snow from the cars then has an exit without puddling along the walls. The second thing is you don't use a power screed or a powered, rotory trowel. Is there a reason for that? Expense? Takes up too much space in the truck? Just wondering.
ОтветитьHahaha- doesn't the sodium in your sweat speed up the cure?!!?😂
ОтветитьGreat video, How big is this slab? Approx how much would it cost to have this done?
ОтветитьReally nice.
ОтветитьOk! Now I know I can’t DIY this 😅. Great videos!
ОтветитьI'm planning a similar detached ADU build, why no vapor barrier and crushed stone in the footing?
Ответитьreal nice job ty for the vid
ОтветитьOh my goodness, you could launch a rocket off that pad. LOL
ОтветитьWhats the bender you are using?
ОтветитьGreat job well done, p.s. sweating on the concrete does add salt🤓lol, cheers🍻
ОтветитьI made my base in the same way as this one here in the Scotland 5 years ago with no expansion gap and it's held up great with no cracking.
ОтветитьTrue Pro's pros. The Lebron of Concrete.
ОтветитьNormally while pouring concrete one would also vibrate the mixture with a tool because you want to get out the oxygen bubbles. Why don't you guys do that?
Ответить
