In This Office, Employees Who Fail to Leave on Time Are Killed

Other than a few plot holes, this looks like it could be a pretty good movie...except for the end. I hate when the hero battles his way through a movie only to (possibly) get killed in the end. (Plus the dirty cop would end up destroying the evidence.)

it's in times like these that I kinda hate being an engineer. I just got out of a very warm bed to explain that what this guy tried to set off with a small paper fire wasn't a "fire alarm" but, instead, a sprinkler.
Now, you know what's cool about engineers: we're all liable for malfunctions, and we're the fall guys when something doesn't work. And that makes all of us severely paranoid. That paranoia means that a sprinkler system is designed to not require anything electronic to set off. If the temperature around a glass bulb inside each sprinkler head gets up above a set limit, that bulb breaks, and the (already existing) water pressure behind the bulb gets released from that one sprinkler head. All this is a purely chemical/mechanical process, virtually infallible provided the bulbs are made to spec. And if the bulbs aren't made to spec, that's the manufacturer's problem, not the engineer's.

Bonus: that sprinkler's bulb was red, meaning it would break at 68 C/ 155 F, making in the second-easiest to break with heat.

OK this company failed to get Anthony Fauci involved to give them Blanken immunity for any side effects. Their drug will cause. They also forgot to give the Democrat donors that would protect them and convince health departments to go along. I can’t believe a movie like this actually came true to a degree.
