Why radiant players never go pro

What's sad is that a lot of college teams require you to be Radiant to even get chance at a spot on the team. I get you want the best players possible, but I'd rather have 5 well coordinated Ascendants over 5 Radiants that think they know it all and are only used to playing by themselves.

Can we cut the crap? Let's put players in the top 50 against "pro players with structure" the games are still gonna be good and close.

Thats how i interpreted it at least. But in football not all teams play like that. Some are mote fluid. They are oriented around players and not the system itself so idk why necessarily a player should conform to that in every situation. The structure hinders caos and the more structure thereisthe more predictable it becomes. Nobody wants a chess match that has been decided before first blood.

I’m trying to get better at a game called breakpoint, it has a surprisingly good pvp, and would like to run a team there with some solid strategies and structure, but there aren’t that many good players playing anymore, so it’s difficult to find good matches and people to practice against. Any ideas?

Not that I'm ever likely to go pro, or even particularly likely to hit radiant lol, but i like to think that if I ever do, it helps that I main astra and already have to know what my team is doing (often just based on what it looks like they're about to do, in games where no one uses comms. Which is reasonably often since I'm only in gold one haha). But, I dont heve any site executes or protocols, because i either solo q or play with a friend or two.

The Premier mode is so good for that too. I love playing premier and i almost always play better than in ranked eventhough we are mostly playing against people in higher Ranks than me.

There's plenty of solo Q demons out there. That takes serious mental strength and game IQ to do that. BUT a good majority of those solo Q radiants seem to crumble when they're restricted to one team, or even partnering up with a couple of teammates in queue. Lone wolf mentality that isn't good with authority or people telling them what to do. Many examples of this throughout competitive games.

Back when halo reach was absolutely popping off I played in a team and competed in smaller LAN tournaments. And whenever I played with friends in random public lobbies they'd always talk so much shit when I did bad or was just playing casually. like "omg mr pro over here is gettin gcarried" (it didn't help that was a cocky teen at the time 😅) but honestly people just play differently when they don't have a reason to win. And going from scrims to that is almost like a culture shock at times.

Really nice summary from the guys and that’s what I told to people just having 200 hours in, I can see/feel if someone is playing professionally, if not they will fuk me up. I usually try to hunt down the people that are not logically playing because in ranked those are that can clutch. Luckily enough on low level there’s little bit of combo and less premades even if so the second they don’t know how to combo. So just having 1 teammate you can rely on and are able to understand you (well viceversa) you will rank up pretty fast.

Even immortals lack the basics. Constant baiting, lurking, 0 impact kills, no until usage and not even buying currently.
