BOSS RC-505 Loopstation | Should you buy it ? | Honest review from an everyday user.

Brez can you please help me!!!! When you record your beat in this video on the first track, you just record 1 bassdrum and 1 snare. But on the track it is automatically copied a second time before the red lights are full. So this first track obviously goes 1 measure but you record just a half measure and it's copying the second half automatically to the recording. I can't reproduce this on my loopstation . If I set the measure auto -> it records just 1 bassdrum and 1 snare. If I set the measure to 1, it records after the bass and the snare only silence. It doesn't fill the measure with another bass and snare.

This is so sick, I'm sold for. I want to use it for handpan, didgeridoo and jaw harp but I dee you can do amazing stuff with vocals too

Are there any basic tutorials out there on how to use it? I’ve been watching loopstation videos and id love to have one but have never beatboxed and wouldn’t know where to start

I use mine by creating the tracks in logic Pro, then mixing down the part i need, pretty much the drums, bass and and atmospheric samples i use.
I load the wav file into the first pad on the 505 and jam along to that with my synths in a live situation.
My problem is that when the track finishes (3 - 5 minutes long), it starts up again, so i have to hit the stop button pretty quick.
This doesn't happen on all of the tracks, i have a wav file in each pad.
The first three stop and don't start again but the last two do.
It's obvious there's a setting i'm missing that the first three track have but the last two don't.
Cam you advise please.
Ps; i call the start buttons from 1 - 5 pads, sorry for any confusion.

I'm a guitarist. Should I buy this loop station?

I love the effects and options this looper has. I make music with synths, drum machines and guitars. Would anyone recommend this or one of the other Boss loopers. Would this be more capable than the others with an added foot switch?

It took me two years to find the MKII station. It just wasn't available anywhere. I finally got one this Christmas and cannot wait to see what I can do with it. It came with European outlet plug so I haven't been able to use it yet since I am in the USA. I just picked up the US adapter yesterday. I'm pretty pumped.

I just wish it were made of a stronger material. Looks kinda toyish/flimsy

Thanks your video was very informative I play keyboards and guitar for fun. I have an RC1 and RC5 but I wanted all the extra cool stuff and I'm trying to eliminate too many effects boxes and maybe just use this to replace my crappy little mixer.

Is the only difference between the keyboards with square buttons or standalone button machine (16 square buttons with rgb lights) and this loop station is that this has analog input & output + digital output?

I am looking for percussion (western percussion as well as Indian) device for my friend and I found 3 devices.
1. Small and big Keyboard that has square buttons, drums & keyboard tones played on those button & it repeats itself.
2. A box with 16 small square buttons with rgb lights.
3. Now this loop station (on another video). A drummer played drums for 8 beats/count and the sound repeated itself, then he switched to another instrument and that repeated itself.

Which one be good for the beginner?

Are you able to change the tempo of the track while it is playing?

Hey! Thanks for this video! I ordered mine a few weeks ago (it was out of stock so I have to wait) and i'm so excited to get it! I have a question though. When you don't have your headphones plugged in, does the sound play out of a speaker? Or do you need to plug an amp/speaker into it? Thanks.

I have some dout which one is best boss rc 505 or rc 505 mk 2

If you use pad 1 and start with a sound and add more sounds on pad 1 can I use only the full overall sound on pad 1 or can I go to say the first loop on pad1 before I overdub Ed with more loops?

I hate the way it looks but I love what it does.

Why would anyone still want this when the MKII is only $85 more?
