This is a very balanced and factual historical view of events that actually took place. I’m very impressed. 👍👍I’m from Singapore and often times, a lot of the Western mainstream media are blatantly anti- China, anti-N Korea; basically anti-Communist. Historical information from these media organisations give a biased or slanted view on the issues at hand. Do, it’s not so much lying about the facts, but more the case of omitting crucial balanced historical facts, using words or phrases that sound negative or hiding these facts at the end of an article, knowing full well many people don’t necessarily read articles till the end.

Don't think that Korea was a "Chinese vassal state' though. The Joseon dynasty and the Goryeo dynasty before it were influenced by China a lot, because China kept invading Korea, and thats why people confuse it sometimes. Sometimes it was a kind of vassal state, but I wouldn't say it was always a vassal state. At least not for 1000 years.

Most of the narrarive regarding correspondence with Japan is distorted by Korian fantasy oriented histric view without any evidence.

One other thing id like to add is the U.S. attempting to normalize relations with North Korea. Say what you will about him but Donald Trump being the first president to step foot onto North Korean soil and getting Kim Jong-Un to step onto South Korean soil is a big first step. I just hope one day the North Korean people are free.

K-Pop sucks. Both Koreas suck. SK is as bad as NK. You can get a year in prison for smoking a joint in SK, even if you go abroad to smoke the joint in a country where it's legal. Half the internet is blocked off. Their technology is anti-user. Their cars are cheap trash -- only idiots choose to drive Hyundais. SK is a vassal state to the USA, which is the only thing preventing them from going full-on Nazi Germany.

It's honestly refreshing to hear that they jail presidents, corrupt officials resign, or find other ways to remove themselves from the picture entirely.
Our politicians have lots of money and zero shame to do any of that.

I have been told by other educational channels that the us is largely responsible for north koreas lack of good farming soil, that most of the country’s farmland, infrastructure, and buildings were bombed by the us, and that we also screw over there food supplies with hard sanctions

and i also want to add that south korea isn’t exactly a paradise, people there are incredibly overworked and it has one of the highest suicide rates, same with japan, and South Korea is also pretty racist and has mandatory military service I believe

North Korea calls themselves socialist, but in practise they are not. There’s a difference between socialism and authoritarianism, which is what the DPRK is. Socialism removes a ruling class, which is what they have.

People now see Kpop is a carefully measured act by government but there were a lot of trial and error when it started. When Korean government tried to promote Korean food to western population in 2010's, it was not successful and Koreans laughed at it. Korean entertainment companies tried so hard to promote their Kpop stars (Wondergirls, Girl's Generation--Also known as SNSD) in American market, but it didn't work well. But Korean entertainment sector learned from their mistakes and adjusted their strategies. Failure is really mother of success.

Korea was vassal state of China for long years, and they believe China would protect them from Russia.
However China was scared of Russia and even didn't fight against Russia, which means China abandoned Korea.
Korean government was really astonished this unbelievable fact and asked Japanese government to belong to Japan.
Japanese government refused this proposal because of no benefit, especially Japanese prime minister who is Hirobumi Ito strongly disagreed this opinion.
But still Korean government strongly asked Japanese government again and again. And Korean terrorist assassinated Hirobumi Ito.
Eventually Japanese government decided to fight against Russia in Korean peninsula because Japan gave up fighting with China and Korea, therefore Japan had to fight against Russia reluctantly.
Korea and Japan have their official signature, and you can find it easily. And also, USA knows very well.

I find the Japanese to be gentlemen and ladies.....the East Asian cultures each have their different pluses.

So ultimately the South Korean govt has become like the US. It's run by big business... But x 10. Perhaps they can learn something from the North?
