Gonna ask you something, because Google fails to understand the question:
What lens must I buy for an A6700 crop sensor to get exactly a 24mm picture?
A 24mm lens ends up closer to 35mm because of the crop. Not what I want.
18mm also does not give 24mm...
Are we not allowed to know what some of these lenses are? You never said the name or put the name on the screen of number 8. Why not just use their names instead of numbers? So werid
ОтветитьSigma 18-35mm Art, one of the BEST lenses I have ever used!
ОтветитьGiven the ability to use vintage glass is one of the best things about mirrorless, and given I want to use the full image circle, I think I’ll take FF.
ОтветитьIs lens 8 an f0.95 or is it an F2.0 like the link says? Is that the wrong link?
ОтветитьIt's the Sigma 10-18mm.
Ответитьwatching you is like being peer pressured into spending more of my money lmao
ОтветитьNot taking into account the crop factor here makes a bunch of the claims fairly silly. "There's nothing covering this range with this stuff" but then you multiply it all by 1.6 and there are things covering that now... they are cheaper in APS-C, sure. But that's cause you're getting 2 stops less low light ability and DOF, etc. Even "having image stabilization where the FF equivalent doesn't" kind of doesn't matter in most cases, because the FF sensors can make up for the higher ISO of a fast shutter speed the same as IS can, so it's a wash.
Ответитьsony 50 f1.8 for apsc was my favourite lens
Ответитьtamron 17-70 is not good for wildlife
Ответить🙃
Ответитьi am very satisfyed by Tamron Lenses, super fast focusing
ОтветитьI really like the Sigma 18-50mmm. Fuji Mount on. my Fuji X-S10, the Swiss knife len
ОтветитьMan, this is the cleanest and most beautiful picture I've seen with a sony fx30 camera so far. Well done
ОтветитьThink about the Sigma trios... the fantastic new ones but also the OLD pieces with f2.8! Of course not as fast as the new ones, but razor sharp too and (especially used) VERY cheap.
ОтветитьFWIW & for Sony users, you might be able to get the Sigma 18-35 in Sony A-mount for less money than in EF-mount. I recently bought an "old stock" (brand new in a never-opened box), for EUR 400 that I am using with the LA-EA5 adapter. A truly fantastic lens! *Note*: as far as I can tell, autofocus only works for stills, not video, with this adapter.
ОтветитьYou kinda missed out on the bokeh monster viltrox 75m f1.2 .
ОтветитьHe is recording on a sigma 16 mm
ОтветитьMy guess for the mystery lens was Sigma 16mm f1.4....and I was RIGHT! First prime lens I ever bought. Was for my Sony A6400, but have since added a Sony A7R3 to my kit for the higher resolution for prints and overall image quality. Will definitely be considering some of these lenses in the future, even to use on full-frame. Enjoyed the video and appreciate the info!
ОтветитьWhat do recomend for Pentax k5 iis for travel? thanks
ОтветитьGeneraly apsc and m4/3 are better and more difficult to be mede then FF ones. Not sure why is video buzzing this around ?
Ответитьwhich one of these lenses do you recommend for shooting video?
Ответить17-70 f/2.8 on a crop is literally a 24-105 f/4 on a full frame, Sony has that lens
ОтветитьSome of these lenses you can get on full frame as well. A 24-105, a 24mm f1.8, a 20mm f1.8, several anamorphic lenses and f0.95 equals the DOF of f1.2 lenses commonly found on mirrorless full frame mounts nowadays. Granted the prices are different, but so is the quality. There is for example a 40mm f1.2 Voigtländer for Z Mount matching a 27mm f0.95. And especially with those very cheap Chinese lenses the T stop is often far off the claimed f stop.
ОтветитьThank you for the very helpful video. Do you also have a telephoto lens recommendation? Any light you could provide would be greatly appreciated.
Ответитьit's definitely sigma 16MM 1.4 on a Sony body observing the results, it's sharp it's neat, but I would say add sigma 23mm 1.4 to that list.
ОтветитьThe tamron 17-70mm had a bad weather seal on mine and has a bunch of humidity build up in the front element
ОтветитьI have an A7iii with the Tamron 28-75 and a a6400 with the Tamron 17-70.
The A7iii blows away the a6400.
APS-C is only better than full frame if you do not have the budget for full frame. APS-C is better than no camera at all but it is not better than full frame.
There are no advantages what so ever with APS-C over full frame exept price and portability.
The Sony 24-105 OSS is essentially the FF equivalent of the Tamron, as equivalency also includes aperture. The F4 will perform the same as 2.8 on a crop sensor. The main advantage of the Tamron is that it does it at a little over 100g less and has much closer minimum focus distance and its cheaper than the sony, but the Sony gains a little over 1mm on the wide end which makes a tiny bit of a difference.
ОтветитьI don't understand why people would say the Sigma 18-35mm F1.8 is one of the best lens ever. It's a 27-53mm F2.7 equivalent in full frame, there are cheaper 28-70mm F2.8 full-frame options.
ОтветитьSorry but you make a Mstake: count fstop also in the cropmode
Here in numbers
18-35 1.8 is a 27-52.5 f 2.7 on ff So yes this exists nof for fullframe but a 24-70 2.8 is just optical e hair of a bit less blurry but gives a bigger Range
17-70 2.8 is a 25.5-105mm f4.2 on Fullframe here we are again.
Lens 3-4 Yep a Argument but i think i can find a equal lens for ff
Lens 5 13mm 1.4 is equal to 19.5mm f2.1 Its not duficult to say that a 20mm 1.8 wil beat that
Lens 6 10mm f2 gibs a 15mm f3 on ff okay yes that fov is pretty special but there are a few primes on Fullframe witch easy beats the f3 optics
Lens 7 and we do the math again 27mm 1.2 is 40.5mm 1.8 and thats easy beaten by the Sigma 40mm 1.4 Art
Lens 8 35mm 0.95 is 52.5mm f1.425 So No Problem we wil find a afordable sharp 50 1.4 Manual Lens for 200.-
Lens 9 Yep you have a point
Lens 10 16mm 1.4 means 24mm 2.1 So the 24 1.8 beats it easy
Dear @mark please investigate it there are soooo manny manual Lenses from the Analog time witch are that cheap and beat the physical parameters of the new from you listet Lenses for a fraction of the price.
It's gotta be the Sigma 16mm f1.4.
ОтветитьYou have just focused on prime lenses while they are some APS-C zoom pro lenses too! Canon 17-55mm F2.8 as for the Nikon 17-55mm too...
ОтветитьStunning channel and content. THANK YOU!
Ответитьi have sigma trio...but the sigma 60mm . my tiny beast is the best..paper napkin weighs more..
ОтветитьWhat's a "good" (or better) lens ? The sharpest ? The best quality / price ratio ? The one with less distortion ? The best bokey ?
Get a look at DxOMark and try to find an APS-C lens better than its FF equivalent.
Wonder how badass an anamorphic lens would combine with fuji's h2s open gate recording
ОтветитьSigma 1,8 18-35 was also produced for Pentax K-Mount, i like it on my K70, and due to the fact that nearly ALL Pentax have IBIS, stabilization in lens is NEVER an issue.
the calculation of an 24mm*36mm equivalent depends much on that what you understand on a crop sensor, even APS-C is not clear what the factor is 1.5 or 1.6, is a micro 4/3 not a crop is a 1" not a crop, thereis NO defintion what a crop-sensor is in size, most companies use 1.5 for Aps-C but not all. and if 24*36 mm ( 864mm²) is FULLframe why 90mm * 60mm (5400mm²) is only MEDIUM format even being 6,25 times bigger.
Good start... 18-35mm F/1.8 is a nice lens.
But it equates to a 27-52mm F/2.7.
Are you sure you can't find that or better in full frame ?? And just as good ??... 🤔
Under the radar. The Fuji 50mm F2. Tiny, incredible sharpness, amazing flare control
ОтветитьI love my sigma 16mm. I only own a SONY a6400, so no stabilization. If I want hand held stabilization I use the SONY 50mm e lens, or my Zeiss 24 to 70mm. When I want portrait pop I use the SONY EF 90mm macro with some great results. Using full frame lenses on APS-c has some great results, if only that they are different.
ОтветитьBest video for APSC i've listened to.
Ответитьi hope the 10th lens is the sigma 16mm f1.4 .Because I bought it online since 2 days and I will receive it tomorrow so it should be good because it costs 400€ here in Germany 😂😂
ОтветитьJust recently picked up a 18-35 sigma for $407
ОтветитьPlease do not undermine the sensor size!
The BIGGER the sensor, the LESSER the optics of the lens will be stressed. So, MF > FF > APSC; which means FUJIFILM GF 110mm F2 > Canon RF 85mm F1.2 > FUJIFILM 56mm F1.2 R WR. Even though RF 85mm 1.2 and 56mm F1.2 R WR are NEWER and ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT lenses, they simply cannot even come close to the FUJIFILM GF 110mm F2 (on GFX 100/s/ii Powerhouses) BECAUSE they carry a huge burden of resolving so many Megapixels on such small sensors.
what software decompresses the anaphormic lens?
ОтветитьBeing a Nikon APS-C user, the Tamron 17-70 isn't an option, but the old Sigma 'C' 17-70 is a friendly all-rounder. Thanks for video!
ОтветитьThe only reason why 18-35 was not a legend, was focus on dslr. Now on mirrorless it’s a legend.
I will never sell mine.
Sigma 18-50 f2.8
