You’ve to mention that before adding daal we’ve to soak it or boil it for a while coz I made it and the dal was soooo crunchy it ruins taste all over I love the way you just know is without wasting time how to cook

Never add lemon juice on heat, it denaturants the vitamin C and wors the taste, do add few minutes after stove off.
