The Next Western Star - 57X Walkaround

How much is a new hood from the 57x? Gonna put this on my 2017 Cascadia.

Are the headlights their own bulbs or are they 1400$ replacements like the Cascadia? If you have those shenanigans going on with something on the outside, i can only imagine the nightmares that come bwith the important stuff.

Those "safety" features on a Freightliner are among the most obnoxious and distracting things I've ever experience in any vehicle. The auto braking feature is extraordinarily dangerous when it activates at the wrong time. Is there an option to either disable or simply not have that stuff on the truck?

The Western Star is almost dead transformed into a Mercedes the same fate as freightliner under the badge of cascadia.

This model is just a freightliner knock off. The Cabin is a freightliner through and through. I believed Western Star was better than this, but another year of disappointment. We already have freightliner. You mean to tell me Western Star can't make a unique truck? Listen to the drivers already...

When you designers are standing in front of your boss trying to explain why the sales of this truck did not meet sale expectations don't play stupid and act like you don't know.
Legit question do Freightliner designers why would you do something like this?
As a commercial truck buyer I would like to know your thought process behind how you thought this was going to be a product that was going to sell?
Was it one of the company CEOs that told you to design this ? I could understand that.
With class 8 commercial vehicles cost post covid over $170,000 USD on top of fuel cost and low freight rates why would I as a truck driver buy that over a Cascadia that is cheaper?
Sell it to me come up with whatever you want to come up with and try and sell me that idea of buying that Cascadia vs a non shiney cheaper one.

Looks like a Cascadia with a different hood…. Hope engineers worked hard to improve soundproofing. Too many options that increase the price. Curious to know how much it costs …
