I had the great pleasure of having this wonderful man as a regular customer in a business I used to run. I came in one morning to a gift of a bottle of Whyte & MacKay Special Blend from him, along with instructions regarding chocolate and coffee. It was over 20 years ago but I've never forgotten the kindness.

This is a video I watched a long time ago to learn how to drink whiskey properly after leaving Korea and settling in a foreign country. When I was drinking whiskey with friends, I added a little water and drank it like in this video, and at that moment, about 10 people in the room all pointed their fingers at me and laughed at me, calling me such a stupid person. I don't know who is actually stupid

The term Slàinte Mhath (Pronounced Slanj-a-va) is actually both Irish and Scots Gaelic. The way the phrase is pronounced is the same for both languages, however the way it is spelt differs subtly. The Irish spell it Slàinte Mhaith. The phrase translates to “Good health” in both dialects, and if you want to respond to this using Scots Gaelic, you would say, “do dheagh shlainte” meaning “to your good health.”
