Fix for the Missing Right Click New Microsoft Word Document Choice

I don't use Office so the only thing that was missing in my right click menu was new text document.......You don't NEED to do any reg edits, all you have to do is - go to start menu, search for notepad, then right click on the notepad app, click "app settings" and then click Reset

I'm still having the issue im on windows 11 with Microsoft office provincial plus 2016 and the file directory doesn't exist the issue for it not showing up has been there since i updated to windows 11.

Thanks very much. One additional hint: the top-level registry entry for the file type .docx may also be the culprit:

Situation and Solution: Recently OpenOffice (Version 4.1.14, March 2023) overwrote (in an updating install) the registry key setting for the top-level .docx entry (which you don't show in the video, as you never click directly on the .docx entry). On the toplevel of .dotx, there are 3 entries (the first (default), Content Type, and PreceivedType). OpenOffice changed only the first entry to OpenOffice.Docx (which breaks the context menu), it had to be corrected back to Word.Document.12

OS: Windows 10

In my case I don't have the path C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Root\VFS\Windows\ShellNew The root file is missing from the Microsoft Office folder.
I downloaded a registry edit file and it solved it.

It was the very last thing, to ensure "Word.Document.12" in the main ".docx" key. It was pointing to "docxfile" which was all about Wordpad.
