Great video, mate! I really love the snare drum sample, would you be willing to share that one?
ОтветитьI've been trying to recreate the second synth at 32min with ableton stock sounds and the new Drift synth has a string preset called "Evangelis Strings". Combine that with the "Sixty Seconds" reverb you used and tweak the Attack+Release times you get pretty close to the TAL preset you're using. I don't suppose you could experminent with the Evangelis Strings and come up with a near replication of the TAL sound you're using in this song? Fantastic video Woody! Cheers
ОтветитьYeah, really good job. Learned a lot and i loved the TAL JUNO sounds ! kudos ;;))
ОтветитьLike for the "shoe sting budget" 👍🙏❤
ОтветитьI thank you so much for this beautiful video!
ОтветитьHello sir , the sounds is amazing !! how can i listen the complet song ?? Your link doesn’t work =) ?
Ответитьamazing tutorial. the composition trick is something i ll never forget. thank you !
ОтветитьConsidering it's a few years old this has to be one of the most informative tutorials I've managed to find on synthwave
production using Ableton... thanx👍🏻
Where i can find your song?
ОтветитьHey Woody, great job, I really enjoy your synthwave video, -I guess your a product of the 80's just like me? :-) -but where are the juicy drum toms? -could be nice in the transition from intro to first verse?
ОтветитьIs there a snowball's chance that you (or anyone) still have the vocal stems somewhere? I'd love to have a go, but the contest is closed :/
Ответитьdamn this tutorial is soo good man!! thank you soo much!!
ОтветитьVery good
ОтветитьDo you happen to know what cart that bell sound on Dexed is from?? Awesome tutorial by the way, especially with the breakdown of common synthwave composition techniques.
ОтветитьIt's been two years, this is still the best composition I've seen among all synthwave tutorial using Ableton Live
ОтветитьFantastic, I love how you play the sounds without the effects and show the previews as you go along. It really helps us understand how to design the sound in the same way!
ОтветитьThis is one of the best tutorials I’ve seen regarding Synthwave when using Ableton. It’s a really interesting yet simple approach using only 8 tracks to compose an entire song but also quite demanding because you have to use the right tools and before that you need to know which ones are the right ones. So, respect!
ОтветитьHow much would it cost to buy all these plugins?
ОтветитьAfter listening to The Midnight, I've always looking for a Synthwave tutorial. This is a super masterclass. Watched till the end.
Thanks alot dude... God bless.
Greetings From India
Thanks for so much info Woody! Really appreciated. Hope to hear new synthwaves songs from you soon!
ОтветитьYou not only made a tutorial that anyone can follow and get something out of, but also used a version of music software that doesn't have all the bells and whistles. Fantastic!
ОтветитьHow to: Make a How to video.
ОтветитьI was stressed that I couldn't find a tutorial for synthwave. You are a godsend! I'm in happy tears! Thank you so so much!
ОтветитьI love you
ОтветитьWhere can I find the song on the intro
ОтветитьI want to cry - I've been looking for an ableton lite tutorial featuring synthwave - this is perfect!
Ответитьfrom Turkey, thank you for the video :) your narration is very nice.
Ответитьwhat sweep sample do you use?
ОтветитьThis is the best video Ive ever seen on music production... Well done bro, extremely professional.
Ответитьman this video just invades me with the wish of you becoming like the Yoda of my music theory lessons. Greetings from Argentina
Ответить8 tracks is more than enough ;) I feel like most of my best songs came out within this limitation. Using Cubase LE 4 which allowed me to have only 8 VSTi tracks in a project.
ОтветитьHonestly one the best intro's i ever see thank you for this beautifully explained tutorial and hope you do more synthwave remixes
ОтветитьThis is a seriously useful and watchable tutorial. Exellent work, Woody!
ОтветитьThis is literally best tutorial I've seen for the synthwave. Thank you!
ОтветитьGentle Squeeze but in Logic pro x?! ps AMAZING verb!!! <3 Love from DavidKeys!
ОтветитьThanks for the info, I know now the existence of J-no-lx, synth1 and Dexed
ОтветитьLove the sound you have; i will use this tutorial to improve on my producing skills thank you!

ОтветитьHi Woody, what is the best DAW and midi keyboard that goes with it? I want to move to DAW from my Yamaha XF because the XF's are limiting the sound I want to create.
