I’d like to mention that I mixed Ashes, Organs, Blood and Crypts. The previous album was recorded and mixed by Adam Munoz who did a great job considering the rush we were in during the Morbidity Triumphant session.

Is it weird that I feel kinda meh about this record? Production sounds muddy, riffs that sound mostly random and lack cohesion. Also some hardcore influence that I dont dig. Not a bad record in the least, but I wouldnt put it on my playlist. Like a 6 maybe.

As much as I have fun listening to music like this from time to time, I can’t help but wonder what bands like Autopsy are doing to expand the sound of metal like… at all. I love me some Death and other bands of that era, but I can’t say I’ve listened to any new death metal album that has made me feel any different from the classics of the genre. It gets boring and repetitive.

Your taste in metal is so specific that it's always great to see a review. You always have something interesting to say on the sound for years now, so I know where the differences are with taste.
