In the comments, share your experience with onboard dining on a Navy Ship. Let us know what you think. If you've never been on board, would you prefer dining at a Michelin-star restaurant or on a Navy ship? 😆👇💙
ОтветитьIn this video he talks about how food is made and served in the NAVY, and I was a cook in the Army, and I have had discussions about this subject to different mess sergeants about the quality of foods made by MARINE AND ARMY COOK'S, versus NAVY AND AIR FORCE COOK'S, and because they deal with very expensive equipment, they get the best food, money can buy, yet the Army and the Marines get the garbage, and I made it a point to out cook any of there cook's and don't brag about it, and I was sending a clear message, because if any of them wanted to enter a food contest I made sure that they would loose, because before I entered the Army, I had cooked professionally, so they knew nothing about my background as it relates to food, hell,I went early admissions to the UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII AT MANOA, introduction to CULINARY ARTS, easy course, since I was in my last year of high school, at ST.LOUIS HIGH SCHOOL, for young teenage boys, and ST.LOUIS is not easy, very hard school, had to study every day, sometimes I would burn out my brains.
ОтветитьKnowing ur missus is getting fucked by another man simple
ОтветитьThese guys don't seem to understand that their partners ie girlfriends or wife's are blatantly getting banged by other guy's
ОтветитьMy grandfather served on the aircraft carrier the USS Kitty hawk. He used to tell me all about the navy including the food they ate.

ОтветитьThe most significant logistical challenge of keeping food on Navy vessels is, keeping a supply of fresh foods that are not Canned or Frozen foods...
ОтветитьFreshness and quality
ОтветитьThis video is crap. How did you get 13 billion for a single Destroyer? As an addition, we just throw spoiled food into the ocean. What a load of horse propaganda.

ОтветитьAll that food
Produce a lot of waste due to leftover and packaged containers etc How is it dealt with. At Sea.?
I was an MS on the U.S.S. GUAM (LPH-9) from 1984-1987.
ОтветитьI wonder if they cook any sailor they didn't like in case low on supply ? I was on the LHA and when 3500 marine on board doing nothing but eat and go to gym so there may be a chance that some marines and sailor were becoming dinner..military mostly die by friendly fire more than combat fire and that is why terrorism and guerillar warfare become prominent
ОтветитьAll sound s and look good but no one talks about all the garbage produced and it’s human waste wonder where everything goes??
ОтветитьUSS MIDWAY had the best food
ОтветитьRule #1: Don't piss off the cooks, Rule #2: Refer to Rule #1. Thank the galley crew as you get your chow. Be grateful for MIDRATS. Fair winds and following seas shipmates.
ОтветитьU.S.S. TRUXTUN (CGN-35) 79-82. Chow was the best it could be during short in port cycles. Milk ran out first at sea. Then eggs and salads goes next. Rice was served with every meal including mid rats. The cooks once surprised the crew with a desert not easily made on ships. Steel Beach Sunday was a welcomed treat during our deployments. I remember steak and lobster tails on a couple deployments. Underway replenishment operations were a welcomed event.
They did once clean out the prize crew rations and feed them to the crew. The rations were from the late fifties C rations.
All in all, the chow was great. I just never liked their version of roast beef. Much too chewy for me.
Go NAVY
I served on the USS Eisenhower CVA 69 , 1980 Indian ocean. Food was good, never complained.
ОтветитьAirborne incursion 2025
ОтветитьThe men and women out at sea deserve the best of everything
ОтветитьNavy chow is the best ! Always good, variety, and plenty of it. The first time I had a lobster tail was in a Navy Air Station chow hall.
ОтветитьCustomization Stations? A fancy way of saying Buffet?
ОтветитьMy dad was a US Navy vet from WW2. He served on USS LST 960bfrom 1944-46, then with the CBs till '48. He always made great food and when I asked him how he become such a good cook, he said, "The Navy." I still make his recipes. 😂
