Exploited and put people in debt is quite a stretch lmao. Im not sky mavis' biggest fan but it was really up to the player to do their due diligence. You cant blame anyone but yourself if you go into debt willingly to invest in something. Anyone with half a brain could see the tokenomics didnt make sense

Ah yes. I remember how this trend turned the nostalgic mmorpg I beta'd and adored since it launched during my 2nd year in HS into an NFT "play-to-earn" game. Sad.

Being in the Vietnamese Game/VFX industry, it's kinda sad seeing how many of my peers and superiors who I look up to being involved in this game's development at some capacity.

my philosophy in life is, if you're having fun with something, dont make it a business. video games is my number 1 hobby. i tried to be a content creater for a short time and it almost destroyed gaming for me. the editing, script writing, capturing footages, they are all work. so like state and church, i keep my leisure and business separated

Axie players are lazy people who wants to earn easy money. It’s a good thing they got scammed.

I though philipinos couldnt afford the 1-3k$ required to buy axies nft.. instead they are playing as scholars and share with the owner. In fact, if they wanted to play without any risk and any investment... thats the way. Then when it collapses, you dont have to worry but enjoy the brief gains. This is applicable for anyone who does not want to take risks

I still remember my friends who invested more than a hundred thousands pesos and boasting so much about it. One of them even quit their job to do it full time 😂

i remember a video about someone leaking something about tools which allow certain agencies to fake from where a hack came from... so i wouldn't trust them about this ^^

That is why I played as a scholar for 3 mo's, earned around 15k Php and stop.
Mostly because of scheduling issuea but also the I was able to predict that the value of the SLP will crash sooner and will eventually be worthless.

Well 2 mo's later after I stopped it indeed crashed due to the presence of the Russoukranian war going on.

The developers promised that they would eventually increase in value but never happened

All NFTs and cryptos are at best MLMs, at Ponzis at worst.

Let's be realistic there is no such companies that will give money by simply playing a game.
