Damn, I love TED Talks. <3
ОтветитьSorry to say, but nothing here feels inspiring or creative. Except the windshield thing.
ОтветитьBeyond Expectations, Look for UX UI Pros, They Revolutionized My Approach to User Testing and Design Decision Confidence
ОтветитьThe 3 tips:
1.Look Broader
2.Look Closer
3.Think younger
I am just starting my career in design and fashion industry. I am really overwhelmed that I saw this podcast as a newbee.
ОтветитьNobody looks at the fruit sticker. It doesn’t matter. If every single piece of vegetable or fruit is branded, none cares. No matter what you say, people get used to branding and they learn to ignore it. This is a bullshit theory. Invasive branding is as good as none existing
Ответитьstick the stickers to the stem
ОтветитьThe screw example is telling. They launched gen 1 version without customer input. What a waste of time and money. I would have fired this guy. If they had done some customer research (even something rudimentary) before the first launch they would have been successful sooner. Not good leadership on the leadership and product development front. Building good produces isn't about how designers "feel" about a product. It's about what the customer perceives as being valuable.
ОтветитьQuick question. How much charged battery does add to cost of product?
ОтветитьNo wonder he got fired, Charge before use was for non-Li chemical based battery (Ni-MH or Ni-CD) because it has memory effect. When everyone switched to Li type battery, that is no longer needed. It is not something he "invented " lol
ОтветитьI am laughing because I had to step my mother through setting up a new Apple TV. What a pain. It turned out that the battery in the remote was dead out of the box.
ОтветитьGreat storytelling brooo
ОтветитьThe secret to great design is to: Notice everyday things and improve upon them.
Habituation is the enemy of noticing product problems.
See from the eyes of the customers.
How to to fight habituation:
1. Look broader
2. Look closer
3. Think younger: ask better questions
Precious 🖤
Ответить1 . view vs vision
ОтветитьTip in life
Don't be an entrepreneur until you are well knowledged in life
1. Look broader - see the problem from the outside, then combine categories to try to solve it
2. Look closer - focus on the details, think of updating or getting rid of screws
3. Think younger - like kids, like people with young minds
The next super power is being able to convince other people of their rituals/habits with a simple to follow fix.
ОтветитьI get things that we normally do and try to break them, like happy birthday singing.
ОтветитьI didn't seek out this video, it popped up after a UI review by Antony Conboy, but its exactly what I needed to hear today. Especially the end bit about thinking younger. I was telling my husband today that I think I may be suffering creatively and career-wise because there are not many young creatives at my work. I miss working with interns and entry level designers but wasn't sure why. Now, I think it might be necessary to find a new environment where I can think younger in order to flourish.
Thanks for getting my wheels going. :)
Who is reading 'Build' (by Tony) and ended up here? Bonus points if you just read chapter 5.3 'Design for everyone'.
I wonder, what are the chances you end up here at that exact moment.
He did walk back the part about “have young people on your team” — lol
Ответитьexcellent, charismatic presentation
ОтветитьWhy not cut it off with a knife?
ОтветитьBravo! Loved the tips you provided. Great stuff --- again!!
ОтветитьWow! That was amazing...
ОтветитьHabituation. Brilliant.
ОтветитьNice ❤️
ОтветитьAm I the only one to not like this ted talk? He’s good at public speaking but what he says is so basic, it sounds like the classical guy who thinks he’s groundbreaking but so many people are saying these things
ОтветитьThank you Tony, a great presentation.
ОтветитьWonderful talk.
ОтветитьI just eat the sticker
ОтветитьFun fact, companies are now laser-etching information onto fruit. Those pesky stickers aren't long for this world.
ОтветитьLovely video 💖💖💖
ОтветитьThanks a lot 🙏

The apple stickers remind you to wash the skin. It's actually genius. How can you openly say kids are better than you at your job lmao. If you've remained a good inventor, a creative problem solver, then you only get better with age.
ОтветитьI like your video presentation. It is informative too, at the same time. Thanks a lot for your guidance!
ОтветитьLoved it!
Think younger, experience the world as kids do and you also will live happier.
The inventor of the iPod decided to talk about habituation for whatever reason. Best TED talk ever.
ОтветитьThe best approach to problems solving skill, look broader, look closer and think younger
ОтветитьKlllkpim
Ml
just put the sticker on the apple's branch
ОтветитьNice Video!
ОтветитьThat was an awesome view to this world and things around us
ОтветитьIf finding the problem is hard work, is it really worth solving? Or have you just dedicated yourself to working on first world problems, exclusively, cause that's where the real money is? And are you now preaching about dedicating your precious time on earth to making it a little less necessary for people to grow up?
Ответитьmy favourite ted talk!
ОтветитьТак налепите стикер на хвостик яблока. Тоже мне проблема.
Ответить1.look broader
2.look closer
3.think young
4.stay beginners
I knew a guy who ate the sticker.😁
