How to Control your Cellular Data Usage on iPhone

I was looking (for a friend) for the apple equivalent of my android data auto alert. 2019 and yet Iphones still have no natural feature (other then manually looking the consumption every time, and you better not be late on your monthly reset) to warn it's user of what can be the most costly mistake... exceeding your data plan... this is a simple feature android had forever... LMAo they're maybe keeping this as a main feature for a future version. Apple sheeps will be all impressed.

I dont want to check a fucking gauge like on my car. I want the computer (cell phone) to do it itself and cut off the data / send a warning. easy enough ? its a fucking computer, Hell even my car tell me when there is 60miles left of gas in it!

Crappy advice. Avoid abd save minutes

This is not a limit. This requires regular manual checks. And a manual turn off the data. I had androids forever and there you can set two teers. A warning when you almost reached the max data limit and you can have your phone turn off the sim automatically when it reached the limit... This is necessary as it's for my child's phone. .. But if it's not available on an iphone i will give it back and buy my daughter another android.

I’m facing this issue, where my data usage is changing automatically in a weird order. Earlier i used to reset it everyday to be aware of data usage within 24 hours, but now it’s changing itself. In morning it was 700 MB, then it became 300 mb and now it’s 800 mb. I don’t get it?

My God, Apple sucks. I just watched this video in the hopes I could set a limit on my wife's iPhone XR so she can't exceed her 5 gigs. My old Samsung S8 has a setting where I set my limit and it won't let me go over it. It will also warn me when I am approaching my limit, at a data amount that I was able to set. Why on Earth does Apple not have this? Switching from Samsung to Apple must be like going back a decade in terms of tech.

Useless to me. Just stating obvious settings that would require perpetual dipping into them to check yourself. This does not limit data usage and it requires perpetual interruption of what you are doing or want to do in normal use.

Android phones do this properly.

With Samsung you can literally set a limit so if you reach a certain amount of GB it automatically turns off the cellular data. The amazing advanced Iphone 🤦🏻‍♂️
