What a great looking garden! Love the beneficials. Eating home grown or local has so many benefits. I used to have several beds but wanted to do something more organic or free-flowing in design. I'm in East Phoenix so it's wonderful to see this.. Look forward to checking out more of your videos.

I started using Mel's Square Foot Gardening back in the early 80's while living in Van Nuys, California with great success. I moved to Arizona in 1987 and have had some success but this year with this heat I am struggling to grow anything . I live in the Casa Grande, AZ area and the U of A Ag in Maricopa, Az is having a lot of Master Gardeners on August 26 at there facility and was wondering if you were going to be there?

I keep loosing my squash to some kind of moth that lays its eggs at the base of my plants and killing them. Have you had this happen and do you have tips on how to stop this from happening? Would companion planting help? Thank you. I’m gardening in zone 8. ☺️

I'm curious as to what you're using for mulch on your beds. Shredded pine? Looks very good - thank you for sharing.

So informative. I’ve been struggling with Aphids this year. I’ll be using these companion plant ideas in my next year plantings!!

I love that you keep it simple... flowers herbs vegetables- easy to remember! I practice this type of planting in my own gardens, it makes it a beautiful space and also works very well!

Your garden is amazing! I am learning to garden in Tucson. My daughter lives in Mesa...and it's a brutal climate. I'm amazed and encouraged to see your lush garden!❤

What variety of Sunflowers are you growing? I planted some in mine to attract pollinators but they are very bushy and shading out other plant.

my bet is your corn is NOT in a large enough patch (they say 10 x 10 feet ) i have not tried it here in Mesa BUT in California I could not get it to grow either I would concentrate on things I know will grow LIKE the Armenia cucumber (which you introduced me too ) Glenda

Great video!! I have been using oregano as ground cover to hold a large slope on the back side of our pool. We are in zone 8a NC so it’s living it’s best life and the pollinators love it!!
