This is, let's say, toy for amateurs and beginners.. Dangerous, very dangerous.
To much money for equipment you talk about! For same amount of money you can buy second hand full equipment for real scuba diving in very good condition! Of course OWD license is recommended!

Look forget using for water. You will make millions in cooling rifle barrel when it gets hot. People at the firing range need to cool barrel down, that takes time, but with this . Half the time... Grate design but better in gun see. More people use guns then diving tanks.

I wonder if it's useful as a fire safety device to escape smoke in a tall building. It also might be useful if the next coronavirus is as lethal as SARS or MERS but as transmissible as covid-19.

It's probably better to put the cost and air duration at the front of the video, instead of the end. I really don't like it if they're apparently selling this tank by mail order to people without a scuba license. A huge risk you don't mention is what happens if some idiot unscrewed the tank at pressure: Regular scuba tanks basically becomes a missile. 3000 pounds per square inch is a standard pressure for many scuba tanks. My uncle worked at a hospital where a compressed gas cylinder fell over, the head broke, and it became a rocket that hit a nurse. The nurse was knocked out of the hospital threw a new hole made through a cement wall!!! It's not a good idea to put the compressor near a car garage in case you get some car exhaust in your tank. I don't like the idea of diving with a tank without a buoyancy compensator, or of diving with a tank without at least some practice buddy breathing. Even if you're by yourself, you need to know how to clear the mouthpiece by pressing the button if it comes out of your mouth and needs to be put back in. (Please tell me that if you press on the front of the regulator (the mouth part) that air will be released to blow any water out of the mouthpiece.) This might happen if the hose catches on something, although in your pool test there's nothing for it to catch on. Another thing that people need to know is not to dive to depth with goggles on, because their eyes can pop out if there is no way to equalize the pressure inside the goggles. (With a scuba mask you equalize the pressure by blowing into it through your nose.) Also, you don't want to fly within 24 hours of diving, or you can get the bends.

Weird, he jumped into the pool without fins. Also, a normal 3L Faber scuba tank is half the cost of this 2L tank and you can use normal dive compressor and regulator.

Compressors must be certified and maintained by qualified techs and forget those bicycle type pumps. You want to poison yourself, go ahead. Shurely illegal in Canada.

No one should use this or similar setup without a diver's license PERIOD! 2L at 200bar is 400 litres. A person in good condition and relaxed uses about 20L/minute at the surface so will use 40L/min at 10meters. That gives 10 minutes or maximum 7 minutes using the rule of thirds, that is always exit with one third of what you started with. If you are under stress, cold and/or physical exertion you can easily go in panic mode and use 10 times the air and then it's gone in under a minute.... and never, ever dive alone. You should always dive with a buddy and both have a spare regulator (and a spare brain)....

Looks like the suit inflation bottles we used in the Navy - buoyancy in the drysuit! You couldn't breathe from it, though.
Anyone remember ABLJs? (Adjustable Buoyancy Life Jackets) - pre-cursers to the BCD. These had small inflation bottles like this and could be used in an emergency, by breathing through the ABLJ's mouthpiece. Actually, I think they were even smaller than this!

This is cool, is it very different from the 5L tanls we have in dive centers for kids? I don't see it dangerous, I'd just be concerned about the sealing of the bottle and then making 200 bar in it

During learning for driving licence you will be informed why using this "toy" can be DEADLY in so many points...
1. You have only 1 second lvl regulator dive regulator (Chinese quality :P).... if it fails , you will die or lose your canvas.
2. You have no buoyancy control which changes negatively the deeper you go (due to the crushing air bubels in the neoprene in the suit). So if you go too deep it will pull you to the bottom and you die.
3. You can get decompression sickness or bend and you die.
4. All critical elements are Chinese quality. if any of it fail you will die.
5. Using an unverified air source can be risky..Co2 will sedate you and you will die.
6. Any stress or panic will increase gas usage and due to small safety limits you will die faster.
7. Even dving with partner with same Toy will not help.. no octo no backup for you ...And you both could die :P

You should have the pony bottle visually inspected. Make sure you have the O-rings in place and fill the tank with a compressor that is suitable for breathing gases.

Please forget the" holding breath is okay if you're going down". While in theory it holds, inhaling air will increase your buoyancy. Biggest air volume change due to depth is in shallow water, which is where this tank is mostly used, why would you want to risk lung damage for a few more breaths of air? Never EVER hold your breath while scuba diving.

You guys are very safety. Safety. Safety. Im certified as well but to me this has a specific utilitarian use which is routine boat and anchor inspections. As sailors we have to frequently check props, inspect hulls, check anchors. This is routinely no more than 3m. Holding your breath in a sea state while trying to unwap a founled prop is a hassle, and coming up nearly out of breath you risk bumping your head etc. I would use this w a SOP onboard that states no more than 3m and 10 min. At that point the risks are less than using snorkel gear since depth and duration are not even factors.

This makes me really nervous when I think of people with no education using them. If you consider using a tank like this without training realise it could really KILL you if you use it incorrectly, by just some smaller mistakes. The largest one is that you forget and hold your breath as you go up which is extremely dangerous. Other risks include filling it with incorrect air or having a problem hapening deep down in the water such as just fainting. I understand it looks super fun, because it is, but it is a bit like driving a sports car without a licence. It is not that hard, but if you do a mistake on the freeway it will be the last thing you do. So I recommend going one or better several diving courses.

Max pressure 200 bars. Volume 2liters. Tidal volume is about 0.5 liter, breathing - about 15 times a minute. At a not deap diving, accordiingly - 2*200/(0.5*15)=53 minutes. Deeper dive will reduce the amount of possible breathings accordingly. 10 meters - 2 times, 20 meters - 3 times, and so on.
fast movements would lead to deeper and faster inhaling. Let say another factor 2.
So 2 L bottle should give you 10-20 minutes at 10 meters dive.
