RTX 4090 + i9-13900K // Test in 18 Games | 1440p, 4K

Of all the DLSS options for optimization, what are the ones that affect the image the less?, frame generation makes a mess for what i've seen and heard

WOW, some games in 1440p are really demanding. I thought the RTX 4090 will smoke them in around 250 fps but apparently not. We have to keep in mind however, that the optimalization is a very big factor too and nowadays the devs mainly do garbage ports from consoles hoping that the software like DLSS will take care of games being playable instead od them.

Please never use DLSS 3 for benchmarks. DLSS 2 is good for what's available now. But the fake frames renders the performance tests unusable because the inserted frames may increase visual quality, but doesn't help with input latency or the like.

why the MFS only 70FPS with 50%GPU load and 20% cpu load?

Why i see ppl with 13900k and 4090 at same games with 80grades or 75+ and u not? what we have to change on bios etc? cause ppl use good motherboard aswell and liquid..???? i just buy a pc today 13900kf msi 4090 suprim corsair 360 cooler,i hope no 80 grades gaming

Those video cards are scam, they throttle the performance of them, CyberPunk you get 70-80 frames at 2960x1440, I have gtx 1080 ti and I get about 50 frames at 3440X1440 resolution, with a 6700k cpu. Once intel will build foundry in USA along with TSMC they will be making video cards size of a CPU instead of this bulky overheating shit Nvidia is making.
By now those video cards should run 8k at 240 hz, with 500 fps, not this shit, they delibratry improve them by small increment so that you buy their shit every 4 years.

I was thinking of building new top of the line comp, but my 6700k with 1080 ti is all I need for next 3 years, till they will flip technology up side down making Nvidia useless, Nvidia depend on those chips they can't make them, so intel and tsmc will take the torch.

I know this is super elitist of me, but it's really disappointing that some of these games couldn't maintain 144hz even at 1440p, and it's not the hardware's fault. PC developers have gotten so lazy about optimization in the past few years. the difference between 60 and 144hz is absolutely noticeable and the smoothness of 144 is something I wish the industry would accept as the standard for the very top of the line hardware. The fact that the best gpu in the world can't hit it sometimes is pretty lame.

The 2077 in Cyberpunk 2077 is indicating the year when there'll finally be a GPU powerful enough to be able to run at native 4k 60fps on max graphics settings.

I am thinking of building a 4090 rig for 1440p gaming instead of 4K. I figure I can play Ray Tracing games at 60 fps minimum without the need for DLSS. I will only buy a 4K monitor when computers can handle Ray Tracing at 4K 60 without the need for AI crap.

How good is the plaque game?

If you want to do gaming at 2k with ray tracing then it is not overkill

Hey i have a question hopefully you see this and could do a test for me.....with the 4090 and 1440p for Halo infinite can you run it on lower settings instead of ultra to see the FPS you can get?

Not yet the generation for Ray Tracing in online FPS, but for everything else is perfect. 1440p is the perfect resolution.

There are some games that take HUGE hits going from 1440p to 4k, by that I mean, about 50%. So going from 4k to 1440p gets you double the frame rate. It goes to show those games are working well with the cpu, its allowing the graphics card to run at its max, since 4k is double the resolution of 1440p.

I wonder if the 13900k is the cpu bound for the 4090 yet at 4k. If we are to see CPU bound for 4k, we'd have to see about same fps to 1440p right? If thats the case, we have room for double the GPU performance still. Maybe we'll hit it in 4 years.

If I'm understanding cpu usage correctly it seems the max cores these games are using based on % is around 8 cores. OH, except spiderman has 54% so it's coded to using 12 cores right?

i’m building a new pc with the 4090 just waiting on parts. I have to get a new monitor and question I have is 1440p or 4k? will a 4090 with a 13900k be able to push 100+ fps in native 4k (NO DLSS) on most titles or should I go for a 1440p ?

i want to enjoy 100+ fps with out dlss on most titles and I’m on with 1440p if I have to but would rather have a 4k set up.

I dunno why but I'm more excited to overclock my 7900XTX when I pick one up. This is crazy good performance none the less.

ist good test in 4k, add a other cpus from older generations and keep 4k tests.

So I don't feel bad about get a ROG motherboard with a 12-Core i7 with my Asus 4080. I plan on playing at 4k and clearly the CPU isn't as important.

What do you get in MW2 multiplayer? I have the same setup and I can’t even get over 25% utilization on both 4090 and 13900k. Frames don’t even go over 200 in 1440p.

Getting same results with oc 4090 strix and 5950x. At 4k the cpu isn't mattering much on demanding titles.
