skull cavern elevator is a lifesaver. I'm somewhere past 1000 now 😂 but after a while you just get all the same drops so i stopped going.

the automate mod is great but also kinda intimidating lol. i just downloaded it recently and I'm still learning.

How and why is your expanded mod so much prettier than the one I got? Like the aesthetics are very different.

Ridgeside village is another good mod. I have it installed with Stardew valley expanded.

Agreed on most of the notes…tho’ these days (11 or so months later), one can remove trees and, if your axe is strong enough; stumps as well! ❤ it saves the grinding of a LOT of tasks on those days where one only wants to use SV as the Sims 😊 ( I know I tend to do that)

You actually can knock down trees with the tractor mod, you just have to configure the files, it's just changing a no to a yes or a 0 to a 1, I can't remember which

I have played Stardew for.. over 3,000 hours but always on console. Now that I'm finally starting on PC I am so excited, I feel like there are plenty of things I can happily install to improve my experience happily.

So regarding the Skull Cavern Elevator, I agree with you about it taking the challenge out, but I think I'm fine with installing it for the initial goal of reaching floor 100 and uninstalling it (assuming that won't cause any issues?) because I have done it so many times and I just see it as a quality of life improvement for this and ONLY this, after which I genuinely enjoy the stress of it all haha.

Conversely I was ready to write off the tractor as a cheat until I realised it's not just something you can get immediately. I'm fine with it being a tool that you work towards, so I'm glad I found that out!

There are so many cool looking mods that I'm excited to try but I'm being very particular about what I go for, I'm not interested in any cheats because I think they take the fun out of it, if anything is changed I need to know exactly what. I know there are some quality of life mods that I think are fine but others consider cheats, but I've got enough experience with the game to make that a moot point, and ultimately I might agree in that they are cheats for people who are NEW to the game.

In the time running up until now (being able to play on PC with mods) I knew I could happily make some adaptions here and there, but before that I wouldn't change my experience with the game and think people should spend as long as they can in vanilla before modding unless they have a requirement that will help them.

I think that a tractor would be broken but I feel like if they add a horse labor system like hoe a field but like 1 tile at a time and slower speed or like spread seeds and I know it’s family friendly game no killing animals but horse labors fine

Why there is no river flowing on my farm?

I don’t know if someone mentioned this or not, but for the tractor mod, you can actually chop down trees with it (from regular trees to fruit trees). It can also break apart floors, harvest not only crops, but also from machines, etc.. You can also choose how fast or how slow of a speed for the tractor. There’s a config option for the tractor mod where you can decide on what the tractor can and cannot do. ^^ Again, don’t know if that was mentioned elsewhere or not in the comments, so apologies of this was already mentioned ^^;;

I think a standard feature in the game should be to knock on people's doors 😂 when you're less than two hearts and need to get into their house or room to talk to them or give them something!

lol, he won't show the number 1 and 2 cheat mods but every other mod is also a cheat in that it allows you to play in a way not designed.

Deluxe Auto Grabber, you’ll never have to forage or pan again and you can set it to even get the hardwood in the secret woods.

Haven't played the game in a long time. Might check it out again. Although it's weird to hear someone say they think the NPCs should show on the map. Part of the game is learning their habits to know where they are. Of course you can skip this part, which apparently lots of people want to do. The automate mod feels quite cheaty too. Everyone has their own preferences though.
